"Miss me," a voice spoke out in the darkness. It was not a question, but a demand. When she spoke, Davina, Rebeckah, and Gia screamed and leaped of the couch. Even the men seemed to visibly flinch. Everyone turned and started at the woman with shock. "You are supposed to be dead! Can any of you STAY DEAD!!" screamed Klaus in anger. The woman before him was Esther, in her original body. "Now Niklaus, did you really believe I would be content to just sit and watch as you ruined this world with your hatred and anger?" She walked up until she was directly in front of him, in a borderline threatening manner. "You need to die, my son, and I need to eradicate the plague that is your kind. Until that has been completed, you will never see the end of me." She tilted her head and looked at him with sad eyes, before turning around and walking through the arches in the compound. Once she reached the door, she turned and said "I will see you soon Niklaus. I have things to attend to, so do stay away until I get you myself." With that she walked out the arches of the compound and disappeared into the night. Everyone was to visibly shocked to do anything. Once they could no longer see her, Klaus turned in defeat. His face was crumpled and he had tears in his eyes. At this point, most people were recovered enough to sense the unwelcoming atmosphere and leave. The only ones that remain are Rebeckah, Klous, Elijah, and Kol. Reheckah is the first to speak up. She too had tears in her eyes. "What did we do to deserve her wrath?" "That is the million dollar question Rebeckah. Unfortunately no one can answer it," sighed Klaus. Then, Elijah spoke up. "We mustn't let her near your daughter. No matter what comes of us, she needs to be protected at all costs."

Kol walked into his "Secret Lair". When he was talking with his family, they decided that the best thing was to look for a spell that could protect Hope. He already liked her, even though he has never met her. He knew that he had to find a spell, but he has more pressing matters to attend to, namely, not dying. Because his vampire sire line was already dead, he was going to go to his mother for help. He knew that she did not like him anymore, to say the least, but he was running out of ideas and was getting desperate. After all, Esther loved her family so much that she turned them into vampires so they could live forever. He knew she couldn't let him die now. He grabbed a grimoire off the shelf and left.
Twenty minutes later and he was at his destination, the lycèe. He cautiously walked in. "I've been expecting you Kol. It's a shame Finn had to deal with you in this manner. I would have taken a more, well, humane, way of doing it." Esther turned and walked up to Kol, who was starting to get worried that she wouldn't help him. She spoke yet again as she began to grab ingredients of the shelves behind her. "Lucky for you, I could never stand watching my family die without trying to help them, one way or another. Now", she turned back to Kol, "I'm willing to make you a deal. It seems you've gotten rather cosy with the Claire witch, which makes it rather convenient for you to take her blood." Kol stared at his mother in shock. "Why do you need her blood." "The blood of a harvest girl is a very powerful thing. I need two doses, one for the spell to reverse your hex and one for a spell of my own. That's my offer. Take it or leave it." Kol considered it for a few seconds and then nodded. "Good," said Esther. "Meet me back here in 3 hours with with her blood." She grabbed two small vials from the shelf behind her and put then in his hands. "I'll see you at midnight." Kol started to walk out the door when his mother said something once more. "Don't make me regret this."
