Aunt Valerie/Volcan POV

DING DONG. It's 9 am in the morning. Why the heck is anyone at my door. "Who is it," Volcan replied.

"It's me, Arlo. Please let me in." Arlo said, knocking on the door again.

The door swung open. "Hello Arlo. Come in. What brings you to my house? Actually wait. Aren't you supposed to be at school?" she questioned.

"Well yeah I'm actually skipping school today. I need some time away from a certain individual, but that's not the reason why I came to your house today. To be honest, my friends are constantly telling me that you and the other authorities created and are currently supporting Ember. I came to your house today so I can make sure that they are being unreasonable. God I sound so pathetic." Arlo blurted out.

Volcan sighed. He is going to figure it out sooner or later. The later I tell him the worse it'll be when he realizes. I should just be honest with him now. We can even use him if he accept that the authorities are working for Ember.

"Arlo, I'm sorry. Your friends are right." Volcan breathed out. I hope I don't screw up.

Arlo's face turned to stone. a single tear drop streamed down his face. "WHY ARE YOU KILLING VIGILANTES? WHY DID YOU KILL REI? WHY?!" Arlo's eyes glowed a golden barrier surrounded Volcan. "Explain before I squash you flat," he demanded.

Well that didn't go well. I'll have to explain.

"Wait! Arlo, we are getting rid of vigilantes because they a huge threat to the hierarchy. They help the weak and lower the strong. It supposed to be the complete opposite! Please understand Arlo. We are trying to keep this world in order." Volcan

Arlo POV:

We are trying to keep order. We are trying to keep order. We are trying to keep...Those words...are all I've been trying to do. Why has it been so hard...

Flashback:

John: You and every other garbage person in this sh*tty system are problem.

Arlo: What!? How am I the problem? I'm the one that kept Wellston up and alive for all these years. And what did you do?

John: Tch. Arlo, you made me what I am today. The reason you approached me was so you could ambushed me and drag me back into this garbage system. The reason you won't leave Sera alone is all because of your fixation on this hierarchy.

Arlo: Well? What do you expect? You two are high-tiers. Act like it.

John: You want me to do something? You want me to change this sh*tty school? Then fine, I will, and I'm going to start with tearing down your precious system.

Flashback End

The system. That was the only thing keeping up Wellston. Once it failed, everything fell to pieces. I can't let that happen outside of Wellston, too. Arlo sighed. I'm sorry Rei.

The barrier around Volcan faded.

"Sorry for the misunderstanding. I thought you were doing it for fun." Arlo muttered suddenly very interested in the ground.

"Huh. That's just sadistic Little Arlo. The authorities would never do that." Volcan teased.

"Hmph...Aunt Valerie would you mind...?" Arlo stopped. You IDIOT. Are you thinking this through? They are murders, no matter what they do! A voice said in Arlo's head.

Yes...I thought this through and...Sigh

"Hey! Earth to Arlo... You there?" Volcan yelled waving her hand in front of Arlo's face.

"Ah... Sorry. I spaced out for a moment. Anyway, I have a question." Arlo hesitated "Do you think...I would do well working for Ember?"

Volcan's face darkened and she smiled smugly. "Yes Arlo... you would do great."

Author's Note:

Please understand that this is MY version of unO. In MY version Arlo is more naive and childish. He sticks closer to the system and hates John even MORE. Please don't judge me :).
