I. Love. This. Ship.
Okay so this is the longest oneshot I've written. 😳

(Takes place just after part three of season 8's comic)
No POV:
After just escaping Maggie; Lifeline, Fuse and Bloodhound swam down the river they had fallen into until the finally found some dry land.
It was a little patch of open grass right by a forest. They were still close enough to the river so they at least had an accessible water source.
"Reckon we should crash here for the night 'aye?" Fuse suggested.
"I suppose this spot shall suffice for tonight." Bloodhound sighed.
Lifeline gathered some logs and Bloodhound lit them a fire. Once they had all dried off, lifeline decided to address Fuse.
"So, are we gonna talk 'bout it?" She asked
"About what now?" Fuse asked.
"Why the hell didn't you just give her yuh arm? I thought that was the whole reason we went on this trip?"
"Ajay, please, calm yourself." Bloodhound urged.
"Well I'm sorry mate, but maybe I wasn't really feeling like making a deal with that crazy bitch!"
"Yuh do realise that now she's gonna destroy the games even more than she already has right?"
"Eh she won't do shit. Mags may be crazy but she ain't dumb. It'll probably be a while before she acts on these threats." Fuse tried to reassure her.
"So now we're just gonna sit around and wait for her to randomly cause mass destruction? Sure, great plan Salvonian."
"Now hang on a sec, what's that supposed to mean?"
"Can you two please just-"
"Oh you know exactly what it means! Your kind are filthy snakes! Wouldn't be surprised if yuh had a wire on ya right now."
"Tell me doc, do you think I was in on the kings canyon explosions Maggie caused?" Fuse asked
"Now I don't think we should-"
"Oh I know it was you! I don't know why the syndicate ever thought letting yuh join the games was a good idea."
"ALRIGHT ENOUGH!" Bloodhound shouted. "I AM SICK AND TIRED OF YOU TWO ARGUING ALL THE TIME!"
"It wasn't me Hound! She-"
"SILENCE!! We do not have the time for your childish squabbles. We must prepare for the night. This fire will not sustain us for very long. Ajay, I would like you to contact the others and alert them of our situation. Hopefully one of them can help. As for you Walter, I need you to go into the forest to look for something we can make temporary sleeping nooks out of. I shall be on foraging duty." Bloodhound said, pulling out their axe.
"Well... sound like as good of a plan as any." Fuse sighed. He got up and went to the forest. Bloodhound was about to follow but Lifeline grabbed their arm.
"Yuh really sure it's a good idea keeping him around? I mean, what if we wake up in the morning and we've each lost both our arms aye?"
Bloodhound rolled their eyes.
"Ajay, please stop acting like a child. Fuse has no reason to betray us and-""Salvonians don't need a reason to do anything. Everyone from the Fringeworlds is crazy! There is no way that Fuse is just sticking around for fun. That guy is up to something."
