Zak Pov

As we ran out the door, we noticed something shining right outside the front door of the brick building.

Dave ran over to pick it up, I stayed put.

"It's a necklace! It's like a yin yang," He called, "Except it's silver."

"No way," I yelled, "Let me see!"

He held out his hand towards me and I assumed that that was where the necklace was.

"Oh," I said. I had expected him to be lying about the silver part. "It really is.."

Dave turned his head so he was looking over his shoulder.

"Uhh," He said. "Problem. I think the guys found us."

I turned my head frantically, trying to find where they were.

That probably wasn't the best move though, as the frantic movements disoriented my vision so I didn't notice them coming towards us until I felt a needle jab its way into my neck.

When I woke up for the first time in what I assumed was at least a few hours, I jolted up, studying my surroundings as best I could in the dimly lit room.

What was happening seemed impossible. The only times I had ever seen anything even remotely close to this was movies, and occasionally fanfictions... Don't ask.

I got lost in thought, suddenly having all of the fanfictions I had ever read, or even written coming to my mind.

I heard a door open, creaking similar to my bedroom door.

"Zak? What are you doing? You're going to be late for school, and your sister is waiting." He turned his head to look at the person at the door.

It was his mother..?

"Your friend, Dave, wasn't it? She paused for an answer.

"Yeah, what about him?" Zak questioned, genuinely not remembering what had happened.

"He's downstairs, also waiting for you." She said, shaking her head at the boy's lack of remembering.

"Did he come to pick me up or something? I'm confused." Zak was now extremely confused at this point, more then he would ever admit, at least not aloud.

"No.. he stayed the night..?" His mother looked just as confused as he felt, and probably looked.

"Oh, right.. He did." Zak said, still not remembering, but wanting his mother out of his room.

"Okay, just get re-" She paused in the middle of her sentence. " Where did you get that necklace?" She looked just as confused as he had been just two minutes ago.

"What?" He looked down. He for sure had a necklace on.

It looked.. Familiar.

(Hey, sorry I haven't posted in forever, I've just had zero motivation to write anything. I may update this story again, or update other ones, so be on the look out for that! Also, I posted a chapter where you can see exactly what the necklace looks like!)
