I'm Not Leaving You

Prologue

Sonny couldn't breathe. All he could hear was Robin's voice telling him that the woman who he had given up everything that he had worked so hard to make sure that she had everything she needed when all of a sudden he gave up everything in the name of love and now just two months since he had done the one thing that he had promised her that he'd never ever do. If he could go back in time and do things differently he'd do it in a heartbeat.

Sonny had so many thoughts going through he head but there was one thought that he couldn't stop thinking about and that was when he told her the three words that he was now taking back.

"Make me sorry."

Sonny says as he gently takes her hand holding it before he leans and kisses her forehead.

As he comes back to the present he hears Robin telling him something but he can't make it out.

"Sorry, Robin. What did you say?"

"I said that Emily is asking for you."

"All right. Tell her that I'm on my way and that I love her."

Robin smiles hearing her brother saying those words out loud about her best friend.

"Don't worry, I'll tell her. Don't forget how much I love you, too."

"I'll see you both soon. I love you, Robin. Thank you for calling me. Just to be sure. I'm the only one who you've told about this, right? You didn't tell her useless ex-husband, did you?"

Robin laughs.

"No, I didn't. She specifically asked me to only call you."

Sonny smiles to himself all the while thinking to himself.

"That's my angel."

"Sonny, are you there?"

"Yeah, I'm here. I'm leaving the house right now. I'll be there in 10 minutes."

"All right. We'll see you when you get here."

"All right."

10 minutes later as promised Sonny shows up with all sorts of gifts and presents not to mention her favorite flowers.

"Where's her room?"

"221."

Sonny smiles as he leans in and kisses his sister'a cheek before he heads to Emily's room.

Meanwhile in her room Emily is laying there as her mind drifts back to a couple of months earlier when she and Sonny were so very happy and so in love when there's a knock on the door.

"Come in."

Sonny opens the door and walks in.

Emily smiles eas she sees him.

"Sonny, you came!"

Sonny walks in and sets everything down before he takes a seat right next to her as he reaches out taking her hand.

"Of course, I came. Nothing and no one would have been able to keep me away. I'm here now and I'm not going anywhere."

Sonny says as he leans in and kisses her forehead and then her lips.

Emily returns the kiss as she gently cups his face with both of her hands before she pulls back so she can wrap her arms around his neck.

"Hi, thank you for coming. I hope that I'm not taking you away from anything important."

Sonny pulls back from the kiss as he leans in and stroking her face before reaching out to take her hand in his.

"Of course not. Nothing, is more important than you and the kids. Now, tell me what is going on."

Emily looks at him as she can't take her eyes off  of him. She takes a deep breath before she reaches out her hand to him.

"The doctors are saying that my breast cancer has come back."
