You and the other warriors walked into the throne room with determined steps.

"Allfather, we must speak with you urgently," Sif began—only to stop when you all saw who sat on the throne.

Loki.

"My friends," he greeted calmly.

"Where is Odin?" Fandral asked as you all approached.

"Father has fallen into the Odinsleep," Loki replied evenly. "Mother fears he may never awaken again."

Sif stepped forward. "Then we would speak with her."

"She refuses to leave his bedside," Loki explained. "If this matter is urgent, bring it to me."

He stood slowly, his expression unreadable.

"Your king."

With quiet hesitation, everyone knelt.

"My king," Sif said reluctantly. "We would ask that you end Thor's banishment."

Loki chuckled softly under his breath.

"My first command cannot be to undo the Allfather's last," he said. "We stand on the brink of war with Jotunheim. Our people need stability. A sense of continuity—to feel safe in these uncertain times."

He paced as he spoke, his voice steady, his posture regal.

"We must stand united, for the good of Asgard."

Sif's hand twitched toward her blade, but Fandral gently stopped her, signaling her to remain calm.

"Yes... of course," Fandral said.

"Good," Loki replied. "Then you will await my word."

Volstagg took a breath, stepping forward. "If I may—beg the indulgence of your Majesty to perhaps reconsider—"

Loki raised a hand.

"We're done."

The room fell silent. The others bowed and turned to leave. But you remained behind.

"Y/N," Loki said gently. "I hope you know I'm doing this for your safety too."

You met his eyes.

"Why my safety?" you asked quietly. "I thought you said you loved Thor more than any of us."

He moved toward you slowly, voice lower, heavier.

"That was a lie."

Your heart tensed.

"I see."

And with that, you turned away—leaving Loki standing alone in the throne room, power in his hands and regret in his eyes.

You sat beside Frigga in Odin's chamber, tension thick in the air. Suddenly, the door began to freeze over. You both rose quickly, grabbing the swords from beside the bed, bracing for a fight as ice crept across the walls.
