He glanced at you, and tears were visible in the corner of his eyes. Muttering a few words, he spun around, and walked off sadly.

"Ding"
"Hmm...?" You heard something beeping near you. Your eyelids fluttered open slowly, and you wondered what was the thing that woke you up from your dream of eating a whole bag of sweets. Turning your head to the direction of the sound, you saw your phone screen lit up.
Lazy to move away from the comfort of your own bed, your hands reached out for your phone that was on the bedside table next to the bed. A notification was displayed on it, and you tapped the screen eagerly. It was a text message from your boyfriend.
[Y/N]-chan, let's go on a date today! :)
~Takao 8.43am
This was the first time he ever asked you on a date. Since it was a Saturday, and you have nothing enter to do at home, you decided to go and spend some time with him. Quickly replying and confirming the time and venue, you placed down your phone, and walked downstairs. Your mother looked up from her work, and greeted you.
"Good morning, [Y/N]."
You approached the dining table. "Good morning, mama! I am going out later, please don't cook my lunch."
Your mother nodded in acknowledgement. Seizing a slice of buttered bread, you gobbled it up hurriedly, and headed back to your room.
After taking a shower, you dried your hair, and tied it into a loose bun. You rummaged through your closet, trying to find the right clothes for your first date. Settling down with a peach colored blouse and a pink checkered skirt, you grabbed the pair of light brown ballet flats on the top of your shoe rack, and sprung out of the house, not forgetting your phone and wallet, of course.

You reached the station where Takao was supposed to meet you, but after 15 minutes, he still hasn't shown up, and concerned about him, you took your phone out from your pocket, and was about to call him when you noticed a message.
Sorry, [Y/N]-chan, I cannot make it for the date. I have to attend basketball practice. I am very sorry! I promise to take you out to the shop selling crepe after school on Tuesday.
~Takao 10.14am
You looked at your phone screen, and then, sighing, you left the station slightly disappointed.

"[Y/N]-chan, sorry, I cannot go with you to the crepe shop, there was this last minute basketball training session today. So sorry!" Takao apologized when he went to your classroom after school.
You faked a smile, pretending that it is alright.

"Sorry, [Y/N]-chan, you have to go home alone. We have basketball training again. I am so, so, so sorry!" He bowed repeatedly as he expressed his regret.
"..."

"Sorry, I-"
"I CANNOT STAND IT ANYMORE!!! IT'S JUST YOU AND YOUR BASKETBALL!!! DON'T YOU EVER THINK ABOUT OUR RELATIONSHIP?!?" You bursted out your feelings with anger. Takao has been breaking his promises with you, leaving you upset every single time, all due to his basketball practices.
You were frustrated. Angry. Pissed off. He has been neglecting you for 2 months, and the reason was always basketball, basketball and basketball. You felt that to him, basketball is more important that you. No, you don't want that.
Takao stood in front of you, his face full of sorrow. However, you were not going to forgive him this time. He has broken too many promises, and did not care about your feelings.
"...Kazunari-kun, I think we should just break up. I don't want to be like this anymore..." You told Takao, bitterness laced in every word. His mouth opened, as if he was going to protest, but closed again. Your heart told you to take back what you said, and make up with him, but you thought otherwise.
Takao's eyes were downcasted, and after a silent and awkward moment, he finally looked up. You waited for him to say something. He smiled sadly, and as he spoke, you could see that his eyes were moist.
"Sorry, if that is what you want, then I have no objections. But, please remember, I love you."

"Ding"
[Y/N]-chan, let's go to the aquarium for a date today. I will be waiting for you at the entrance. :)
~[R/B/N] 9.15am
It was 5 months after your break up. You were now dating [R/B/N], but somehow, your heart aches everytime you hear or see Takao's name.
"I wonder what he is doing now..."
