Being Human *~A Steven Universe Future OC Story~*

Part 1

Twilight got up and stretched her legs with a groan. Today, Steven was taking the gems to Homeworld to check on some stuff left by Pink Diamond. She padded down the stairs to see Pearl cooking some food in the kitchen. She turned to Twilight. "Oh, good morning, Twilight!" Pearl greeted. The gem wolf went and sat by the counter, waiting for the pale gem to finish cooking. Meanwhile, Garnet and Steven were entering the room, exchanging greetings. Amethyst jumped off of the counter and onto Twilight, ruffling her fur. "Amethyst! What have I said about jumping off of stuff?" Pearl nagged to the short gem warrior. She rolled her eyes and pecked Twilight on the cheek before sitting at the counter. Pearl finished her cooking and placed plates of food on the table for Garnet, Steven, and Amethyst. She then placed a plate on the floor where Twilight was laying. The gem wolf thanked her and ate the food in a bites. "Ok, now that we've eaten, we're Homeworld bound." Steven said, getting up and walking to the warp. Twilight stood beside him as the others got on the warp pad. The warp activated, and they were off.

~Homeworld~

The warp dropped the gems on Homeworld, which was much more lively then before. The ship that once belonged to White Diamond shining brightly in the center. They went inside to see that the ballroom was more of a museum now, with gems of all kinds wandering the halls. A pearl was giving a tour and talking about the reign of the Diamonds. When the tour group moved on, a familiar pink gem was left standing there. She turned and her eyes became hearts. "Steven!" the gem yelled, embracing Steven and giving him a big smooch on the head. He began to glow pink. "Spinel what is wrong with you?!" Steven yelled, infuriated. Spinel held her hands together. "Oh, you know, the usual." Twilight stopped listening to their conversation and went over to the other gems.

 About ten minutes later, Steven led the gems into what looked like an armory. The walls were pink and weapons were everywhere. Twilight walked up to an odd looking cannon of sorts. Steven immediately stood beside her. "Hey, hey. Be careful with that." he quickly said. The wolf tilted her head. "Why?" she questioned. "Its a laser light cannon." Pearl chimed in from behind them. "Laser light cannon?" Twilight echoed the words confusingly. Steven began to explain. "It's basically a cannon my mom owned. There's a code we have to say in order to activate it." the gem boy hybrid explained. Twilight got up and took her place by Amethyst as they looked at a set of battle axes across from the cannons.

 "Amethyst, I'm kinda concerned about that laser cannon thing." She said, huddling closer to her girlfriend. Steven came and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, it's okay. The only way the cannon will activate is if I say, "If every porkchop were perfect, we wouldn't have hotdogs." Steven realized what he had said and covered his mouth with his hand. The cannon lit up the whole room and was aimed at the purple couple. A bright light emitted from the front of the cannon and a beam flew in their direction. In the nick of time, Twilight managed to push Amethyst out of the way. "Oh shi-" was all she could say when the cannon's blast struck her, enveloping her in the blast, causing an explosion which sent the gems flying. 

When the light died down, the gems were scattered around the room, and so were the perfectly organized weapons. Steven felt pain rush through his body as he struggled to get up. She managed to lift his head and take in the damage from the sudden explosion. Garnet had half of her body hanging out of the wall to his left, Pearl was laying a little distance from the hole in the wall, and Amethyst was stuck under a pile of swords. Steven suddenly had a jolt of memory burst into his head. Twilight! The gem wolf had gotten struck by the cannon when he accidentally set it off. He looked to the center of the room where the explosion occurred. Grey smoke dwindled the area, but in the smoke he saw something in a heap. He felt his heart drop as he realized it must be Twilight's cold, lifeless body. He heard grunting and saw Amethyst crawling out from under the pile of swords. "Ugh.. what in the name of Homeworld happened?" the purple gem groaned. Steven waved to get her attention and she walked over to him, clutching her arm. "You ok, Steven?" Amethyst asked concerningly. He gave a nod and pointed to Garnet and Pearl's unconsious bodies. "Do you think we should get them? Or leave them there?" Amethyst asked. As if on cue, Garnet pulled herself out of the hole in the wall and stood up. 

"Are you two okay?" the fusion asked as Pearl groaned and rubbed her head. Pearl got up and stood by Garnet. Steven felt shame wash over his body. "We're fine, but I know someone who probably isn't..." he mumbled, turning to the body lying on the floor. They all turned their heads as the body began to move, and it sat up. It looked similar to Amethyst, but it looked a few inches taller, and there were purple streaks running through her lilac colored hair. They all gasped as icy blue eyes glowed in their direction. "Uh, Is everything okay?"
