Seems right, seems wrong

One

Nakatitig ako sa laptop habang walang tigil kakatype ang kamay ko sa keyboard. I'm finishing my long essay project about literature. Tumama ang paningin ko sa orasan sa laptop ko. It's already 6:05 in the evening. Tataposin ko nalang muna ito bago ako bumaba at kumain.

I was at the last sentence of my essay when my phone vibrated beside me. I checked it and saw a lot of chats from the group chats and some strangers saying 'hi' but what caught my attention was a message from him replying my story with 'hi! kumusta?'.

Kumunot ang noo ko pero ibinalik ko ang aking paningin sa screen ng laptop at tinapos muna ang huling sentence bago ko siya nireplyan.

Hello! Okay lang. Hbu?

I waited for five minutes before he answered.

Kythos Joaquine
Ayos lang din.

Yun lang?! Ang tipid niya naman magreply.

Kilala mo ba ako? Do you still remember me?

I didn't wait that long before he replied again.

Ha? What are you talking about?

Kumunot ang noo ko sa inireply niya. He doesn't remember me? Pero bakit siya nangungumusta? Tsk!

He's Kythos Joaquine Cosmos. He's my mutual cousin. Pinsan siya ng pinsan ko kaya we're not blood related and ever since we were young we never ever really talked. It's been years since we last saw each other and I barely remember anything but one thing is for sure. His way older than me.

Oh. Kilala na kita HAHAHA. Ikaw yung anak ni tito Rafael, right?

I bet he asked his mom about me. Tsk.

Finally! Hi kuya Ky! Yeah it's me HAHA.

Kythos Joaquine
Cut the kuya. Magkaedad naman tayo ah?

Kaedad? Parang hindi naman.

Kellyanna Brexely
I don't think so, kuya. I'm just sixteen you know.

Kythos Joaquine
See? Magkaedad lang tayo. I'm just eighteen. Nauna lang akong lumabas ng dalawang taon.

Seriously?! Akala ko mas matanda siya sa akin ng tatlo hanggang apat na taon.

Ah. Ok HAHA sorry.

It's fine, Kell.

Anong irereply ko jan? Haist. Sineen ko nalang ang huling chat niya at tumayo na. I turned my laptop off bago ito ipinatong sa side table ko bago ako nagstretch, sumakit ang likod ko tsk!

Kailangan ko ng kumain. Pumasok muna ako sa banyo para maghilamos.

Lalabas na sana ako sa pinto ng biglang nagpop ulit ang messenger ko. I immediately checked my phone.

Kumain ka na ba?

Mafafall na ba ako nyan?

Kellyanna Brexely
Kakain pa lang. Sana ikaw din.

He replied fast.

Kythos Joaquine
Ok. Tapos na ako. Eat well.

I smile with his reply but didn't bother myself to send a response as I headed downstairs leaving my phone inside my room.

After I ate, our conversation continued until I told him that I need to sleep and that night was my happiest night as I read his last message before I fall asleep.

Good night, Kell. I hope you dream of me. Sleep well.
