CHAPTER 1: THE BOY IN BLACK

My life started somewhere. I don't know where exactly but it started somewhere. Some people may say that my story is a sob story, touching, sad, horrific, and other adjectives. I do think about my story, the adoption, and I wonder... if they, my parents ever loved me, cared about me, ever WANTED me. No one really understood how I felt, how I went in to tiny periods of sadness, depression, anger, frustration, and silence. There is only ONE person who could completely understand me, my best friend Jadien Black. She is the only one who could feely pain, not even my twin sister could cope with me. Jadien was more of a sister than my real sister, Natasha Clove.

I live in her shadows... in her cruel heart-breaking words. Her mission in life is tobleave me in the shadows and destroy me. You may think I'm overreacting, but that was the day I started getting the calls.

*RING* *RING* My cellphone went off, I looked at the number, who I'm the world is that? I picked it up anyways, "hello?"

A boys' voice answered "Lillian Clove, I have some advice for you STAY ALIVE."

"HELLO?!?" I screamed in my phone, my mind was racing, STAY ALIVE? What could that mean? I was freaking out, stay alive? Was someone coming after me? Was someone trying to kill me? All I knew I needed to get out of bed and- *knock knock*

"Lily? Are you in there?" It was my sister Natasha.

"Yea I'm in here" I yelled as I finished tieing my sneakers. I grabbed my backpack as she came in... with a knife.

"Lillian, Lillian, Lillian, my sweet little sister... ohhh how I dreamed for this day to come," she sickly smiled as she helped the knife in her hand so carefully. "See little sis you are the most disgusting little excuse for a human and Im so glad Raymond finally gave me the permission to kill you." She let the keywords sink in before she came at me. Everything was a blur are first she pinned me down and held the knife ever so far from my neck. "Little Lillian always trying to be nice that it made me sick, too bad you always were in my shadows and were ever so shy. You could have had the most simple life, but no you had to be moms favorite and to be born in the Clove family." She was about to plunge the knife into my throat. I could feel the tip on my throat, and a trickle of blood flew down my neck onto my shirt. As I was closing my eyes someone or something threw Natasha back against the wall only for me to hear a sickening crunch. Before I opened my eyes something covered my eyes, and then everything went black.

I woke up and a stranger's bed, and to see I was in a room a boy's room. The walls were painted a light blue and there were posters of different Rock Bands covering the walls like a blanket. There was one window directly across from the bed where the sun shone through, I'd say it was about noon-ish. Then I saw the door was open, and a boy 16 or 17 was standing on teenage threshold just watching me not saying anything. He had drake hazel brown short hair, a buzz cut. His skin was sun kissed, and had some freckles here and there. His face was oval shaped, and had freckles sprinkling his face mostly by his eyes. Oh his eyes, they are a deep ocean blue that twinkled at you. You could get lost just looking at his eyes. The boy was wearing all black, black hoodie, jeans, and sneakers.

Once we realized that we were staring at each other we boy looked away. "Were am I and who are you?" I asked suddenly getting pulled back to reality.

At first the boy was silent then finally spoke "I'm Ryan, you are at my headquarters and I was the one who called you."
