DN - Chapter Sixteen

Irene's POV

Hurriedly, I picked up my things after getting detention; eager to see Taeyeon.

I stood up and dashed outside, immediately calling a cab, and made my way towards SM Building.

I've finally found out what Y/N's powers are....well at least I have clues on what they are.

Earlier when she tried to stop me from burning Seulgi(I hate her for that) when she took hold of my shoulder, all my energy came out of me. Right after that, my clothes were set afire. I'm sure that she assumed that I lost control (which explains why she was laughing on the way to the detention room), but I'm sure that it was her.

Once the cab came to a halt, I paid then went out as fast as I could. I took my ID from my bag, swiping it on the monitor. Why in hell do we even need IDs. I went to the elevator, pressing the button towards the top floor; towards Taeyeon's office.

"TAE!"

Taeyeon dropped the files in her hands while I took a seat in front of her desk.

"I have news."

"Did you have to yell?"

"No, but I have news."

"Did you grow taller?"

"No, did you?"

"Just get straight to the point."

I'm not straight but sure.

"Y/N."

"Joohyun, we're not going anywhere if you keep cutting your sentences," she spoke sassily, sitting down at midst.

"Oh, yeah good point. Y/N's powers," I spoke, not knowing how to explain a single thing.

Her eyebrows raised growing curious, "Y/N's powers?"

"Have you found it yet?" I asked, feeling a bit nervous.

"We would've told you if we did dumbass," she spoke rolling her eyes in the process.

"Would you?" I asked, raising a brow.

"No, now get straight to the point. Y/N's powers what?"

I took in a deep breath, smiling awkwardly.

"Uh so, where do I start?"

Third Person's POV

"If you're deceiving me I'm gonna kill you," Taeyeon spoke, the younger one was just confused on why Taeyeon didn't expect to find out about her powers that fast.

"It's been almost five months since Y/N came here, why are you so shocked about this?" Irene asked rhetorically.

"Well, she did seem like a wimp when she was on her way here," Taeyeon spoke to herself, forgetting Irene's enhanced senses.

Taeyeon looked up to Irene, the latter raising her eyebrows.

"What do you mean by that?"

"I mean, you did say that she just ran away from the monster–"

"You were the monster?"

"And how can you say that?" The older spoke, trying to act sassy and failing of course.

"We never told you about that," Irene spoke, putting two and two together.
"You were the monster!" The latter yelled surprised that she didn't realize that earlier.

"I honestly thought that you would figure it out earlier but get it I guess," Taeyeon stated, giving the younger a judging look.

"I swear, you guys forget my abilities all the time!" The older continued, speaking in a whining manner.

"Yah! I remember your abilities, it was something about science...." The younger replied trying to remember.

"It's Sciakinesis! And it has nothing to do with science!"

"Oh yeah, what can that do again?"

"IT CAN MANIPULATE DARKNESS OR DEACTIVATE, REPULSE AND TRAVEL THROUGH SHADOWS! HOW MANY TIMES AM I GONNA TELL YOU DUMB DUMBS?" The older said completely throwing a tantrum.

"Chill, chill, chill, chill, sunbaenim... I didn't hear that properly, can you repeat the beginning part please?" Irene said, laughing awkwardly.

As Taeyeon managed to calm down she spoke, "I said Umbrakinesis, or Sciakinesis, is the ability to mentally generate and manipulate darkness. This ability can deactivate or repulse and travel through shadows you dumb dimwit," she said completely lining each word out.

"Wait–"

The older groaned.

"Wait no unnie, if the school finds out that we finally have an idea on what Y/N's abilities are they'll ask about it immediately and Park Jihyo is the student council president, she knows everything about anything," Ah yes, when one has certain abilities authorities always knows. It's mandatory, it's that or it's you dying.

It's easier to control the world like that. When they know one's abilities, they'll know their weaknesses.

"We still aren't sure anyway, how would they know?"

"Point taken, all we have to do is get the mind manipulator away from Y/N," The younger replied, seemingly focused on the matter at hands.

"Get the entire group away from her, I heard that the youngest members are already close to her," The older said before reminiscing about what she was told a month ago.

"Didn't Y/N dream of something when she entered the school?"

Irene looked up, remembering as well.

"We need to find out who the girl is before anyone else does," The two gazed at each other seeming to have the same thought.

"Y/N mentioned something about weather changes so it must either be in the past or the future," The younger spoke, reminiscing Y/N's statements about her dreams as Taeyeon listened gravely.

"She also mentioned children in her dreams, all of them being girls,"

"Probably cause she's gay," Taeyeon whispered to herself as it was now Irene's turn to give her a judging stare.

"Continuing," Irene cleared her throat, "On her first dream, she mentioned three young girls, all of them have similar features, each looking older than the recent," Irene continued, hoping that Taeyeon was listening.

"So it's definitely in the past," The older one spoke, trying to explore the possibilities. "What else did Y/N see?" She asked.

"All of them had bunny teeth and childish features, the first one was with a complete family, a mother, a father, and a sister with her. The second one had a father and a sister; Y/N said that all of them seemed happy except the last one. The last one was alone, crying as bloodied," Taeyeon's ears perked up as she realizes who the girl is.

"What? Do you have a clue on who the girl is?" The younger asked.

"What was happening in the second dream?" Taeyeon asked hurriedly.

"It was the same girl from her first dream, the third one. Attempting to kill herself but a girl named 'Jisoo' stopped her," Irene tells, knowing that the other girl had an idea of whatever they're talking about.

"Park Jisoo—Park Jihyo, the girl Y/N's been dreaming about was Im Nayeon," Taeyeon whispered, knowing well that the younger heard her.
