i smelled the smell of minnesota

wow, minnesota smells nice

i laugh a bit at my thoughts and i walk out of the airport

i look around, trying to spot the exact car im looking for

"jack, over here!" i hear someone yell and i look in the direction

i run over to them and i hug esther

i feel someone hug me from behind and i smile

"svea, you've grown so much since last year"

she giggles and i get in the car

"so everybody knows about this just not jonah?" i question

they all nod and i smirk, "good"

i play with my rings as we pull up in the driveway

"are you nervous jacky?" svea asks me

i nod my head a bit

"i mean yes, i haven't seen him for 6 months! what if he can't recognize me? what if we arent best friends anymore? and what if he just wanted that shirt instead of this surprise?"

"jack, honey. he talks about you every day, he will be happy to see you" carrie, jonah's mom says

i smile and i take a deep breath

okay, you can do this jack

esther takes out her phone and calls jonah

"hey, can you open the door for us? none of us remembered to take a key with us, so we're stuck" she says into her phone

i can hear jonah sigh on the other side of the call

it was like i could feel my heart skip a beat

knowing that i was so close to seeing him again made me smile

"give me two seconds" he said and ended the call

my heart has never been beating this fast

i gave the others a smile and walked up to the door

i looked down, you're gonna see him jack!

then i heard the door unlock and i looked up to see the most beautiful eyes ever

green like emeralds

"j-jack? what are you doing here?" he asks confused

"surpri-" i was stopped by the best hug i have ever gotten

i smile against his shoulder and i hug back

"im so shocked.. i didn't expect this at all.." he mumbled with his eyes shut

i never want to let go

"is it really you?" he asked and i just nodded as an answer

my feet then stopped touching the ground and in the next second i was being spun around

"jonah, set me down you bitch!" i shout while i giggle

he rolls his eyes and slowly set me down

"come," he says shortly and takes my hand

it feels like my whole world is complete right now
