Y/n POV

Status: reactivating.

Condition: normal.

I awake to the sound of rain outside the warehouse. Moving my servos I go to see outside the window. The gentle rain hits the window as it slides down.

"I. I remember this. This feeling. It feels like. . . . . Home." I speak in a somber tone.

Flashback

I was created on a planet called New Haven. The sound of rain was the first sound I have heard when I first awoke. The scientists and doctors were jumping for joy when I first awoke.

One of them came up to me and said.

"Welcome y/n-5555. Your life starts now. At the moment take some time to get used to your body. In a week we will begin your training." He said to me.

New Haven was a paradise world. Full of green fields and bountiful fauna. It was this very rain that I felt my first emotion. Calm. The rain made me feel safe during my dark days.

When I heard the sound I would sit by windows or outside under the roof to watch it fall. It was strange really. As far as I know I am the only titan alive to act human. I have emotions, I can think, I can feel so many ideas.

It was because of this that I was treasured more than anything. There was a doctor who cared for me more than anything. Her name was Doctor Sylviana L. Alano. She was my mother figuratively speaking.

Everything I learned it was from her. When the time came for me to be used as a weapon she wouldn't let me go. I reassured her and said that I will be safe and that I will try to visit her as much as possible.

That was the last I ever saw her. Up until now I wonder how she is. But thankfully before I was sent here I received a letter from her.

In it she told me all about she was so proud of me helping the frontier and that she was doing alright. The sentence said that she wanted to visit me sometime in the future.

Flashback end

I look down in sadness.

"I'm sorry mother I can't see you yet. I have a mission to fulfill." I say getting up.

While I was deactivated I left my scanner on to search for any radio towers in the city. Luckily the is one about 6 miles away from where I'm at. I searched for the weather forecast to see how long the rain will last.

My luck turned for the better as the rain will last for two days straight. So I will wait for night until I can move once more. I repair my weapon and I ready my systems and I get ready for nightfall.

Elsewhere
??? POV

"Any word yet?" I ask my colleague.

"Nothing yet. All the scan show up as normal. No traces of any unusual activity." She says.

It was strange I could've sworn that I saw a giant robot. Maybe I was hallucinating after all. But I am still skeptical about this.

"Alright do one more scan at midnight then I can call this search off." I say to her as she nods.

"Yes ms. Orimura."
