As they continued their journey through the carahar's they came upon a flatter plane alongside a lake.
"Dwarf doors are invisible when closed." Gimli exclaimed while looking at the big stone wall in front of them.
"Yes Gimli. Their own masters cannot find them if their secrets are forgotten." Gandalf replied.
Then Legolas muttered under his breath. "Why does that not surprise me!" The dwarf just let out a small rumble and carried on to the wall.
As Gandalf carried on looking towards the gate and grieving to figure out how to get in morwen turned towards the water before them until she felt a presence at her side.
"Morwen, should we be on alert in this cave. For the first time earlier I saw you show fear at the mention of its name." The elf prince asked her. She slowly nodded her head before turning back to the water.
Legolas then moved off to speak to Aragorn about her thoughts and so morwen sat down still looking out. At one point the hobbits came next to her and started to skip rocks.
She did not warn them but Aragorn came up and grabbed pippin's hand. "Do not disturb the water"
Suddenly Gandalf said something and the door opened.
As they all went in a head of her she heard Boromir shout. " This is no mine. It is a tomb." As their conversation continued Morwen still stared across the water. She then saw a tentacle move from the water but she still did not move from her spot. It wrapped around Frodo's leg and pulled him from the cave. "Striderrr!"
Then everyone was running out Boromir and Aragorn trying to hit the tentacle with their swords will Legolas shot arrows into it. Finally Boromir managed to cut the tentacle off and they were running back to the cave. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Legolas's confused stare on her face but she was fully trained on the monster before them.
When they were all back inside the cave she slowly got her feet and casually strolled towards the opening. Pippin then shouted. "Come on morwen it is after you." When she finally made it to the cave she turned and let out a loud growl. Suddenly the monster completely stopped and was diving back under the water. When she turned the fellowship looked at her with confusion on their face. All except Gandalf. Then the sound of rocks falling was heard before the mine was plunged into darkness.
