"Y/N, your schedule." I quickly turned with surprise to face an older woman. She reached out her arm towards me, holding a paper that I presumed to be my schedule.
"Ahh, thank you," I said politely as I took the paper from her hands. I quickly looked over the paper for my classes. AP Calculus... AP Bio... AP Literature... History... Dancing... and since I was new to Korea, I was also enrolled in a Korean class.
"Three APs," I thought to myself. "This is gonna be one hell of a year." Not only that, but this would be my first year in an arts school, and I didn't even know a single person.
I figured I should probably find where my classes are, so I walked to the front of the school. I gotta start somewhere, I guess. But by the time I walked there, I couldn't believe my eyes. The school was magnificent. Tall, smooth white pillars surrounded a monument made of weathered red bricks. This was unlike any school I had ever seen for sure. I was in for... well, hopefully not a rough year, but an interesting one for sure.
~~30 minutes later~~
After finding and memorizing the location of my classes, the sound of a bell flooded the air. Time to go to class.
I walked to my AP Calculus class, and to my surprise, there was already a group of guys sitting near the corner of the class, huddled around a computer. A boy in a light pink mullet was playing a game on his laptop. I walked over to see what the fuss was, afraid that they would look me over and want me to go away.
But to my surprise, it wasn't awkward.
"Hey, you're the new kid right? I'm Yeonjun. And your name is?" the boy in the pink hair said.
"Yeah, I'm new here. My name is Y/N. Nice to meet you!"
"Yeah you too!" He pointed to a boy who towered over me, with messy black hair. "That's Soobin."
Then he pointed to a boy around the same height as Soobin, but he looked mixed, as if he was half-white, half-korean.
"That's Hueningkai." Then a blonde-haired boy smiled and waved his hand. "Taehyun." Finally, a boy with wavy hair and absolutely stunning looks formed a small smile on his lips. "Beomgyu."
"Wow, thanks for introducing me! Can I sit with you guys?" I asked.
"Sure, but I think the teacher assigns seats. I'll look for you at lunch though!" Yeonjun replied.
"Oh, by the way, to keep in touch, can you give me your number so I can add you to our group chat?"
"Sure thing!" I blushed. It felt so nice to be included. I didn't think I would've found friends so quickly. I gave him my number, and suddenly a new chat box popped up.
~TXT group chat! :D~
yeonjun: Hi y/n! We call ourselves TXT :)
soobin: hiiii :)
taehyun: guys we have class we should probably be paying attention
soobin: yeah the teachers gonna start soon
hueningkai: k then put ur phone down lol
yeonjun: fineeeee :/
The teacher slammed the desk with his ruler. His cold eyes glared at all of us menacingly. "I will have discipline, I will have order! This is not an easy class. You are designed to fail. Only those who are passionate about mathematics will receive an A in the class."
This didn't make sense to me; after all, why should the teacher make the class so hard? Didn't he realize that we have lives beyond math?
I looked around the room, trying to learn all of the new faces, but I found my eyes fixated on one person. I didn't know her name, but I couldn't help but notice her delicate blonde hair grazed her shoulders and her soft bangs brushed across her pretty face. I didn't realize I was staring at her, and apparently the teacher was going over some problems, because he was yelling in my face.
