The sun beat down on my head, and I hated it. It was early spring and my allergies would not let up even a little bit.

We stopped at a little stream and I stuck mu head in the water. I didn't care that I could drown, I just wanted to clean my face of disgusting snot.

"Are you okay," Robyn asks, gently touching my arms.

I lift my head," I hate nature," I state and plunge my head back in.

He chuckles. "Do you want to know where we're heading," he asks?

I don't lift up, and he doesn't continue. "I'm listening," I say, lifting my head out for a final time.

"We are heading to the kingdom of Smoke, that's where she was last seen," he says.

I comb back my wet hair with my fingers. The kingdom of Smoke is where I was born, I didn't grow up there, but hey I guess it's sentimental.

"Here let me help," he says getting up and going behind me

He takes my hair and I can feel him start to braid it. I move away from him.

"What the fuck are you doing," I ask, laughing at his fallen form from my sudden movement.

"Helping."

"No, last time you were 'helping' me I ended up with a knife to my throat," I say.

We continue our day on the only path to Smoke. And throughout the day I would see him sneak glances at me. Then I'd hear him make a crude remark.

I look at the kingdom in front of us. Smoke was still two days away, but we couldn't stop. We are in the kingdom of Key. (If you guys know what book title I'm getting the names let me know ;) )

Both Robyn and I are wanted for many.... Things, but if we took the way around I would have to spend more time with Robyn. That's a big no-no.

"Here," he says, handing me a navy blue cloak. I put it on and pull the hood up.

"Hurry up, I don't want to be here after dark," I say.

"Are you really scared of the dark," he asks? I don't know where he got this idea, but one time when we worked together, we were trapped in a dark room and I panicked. The room was small, and it was hard to see if anyone was going to come at me and hurt me. I started rampaging around the room looking for a way out, and screaming for help. He has pitied me since then.

I don't need his pity, I need his wrath and passion, a drive to kill me.

I chose not to answer and keep moving to the town square.

My body is dragged by a man down to a dungeon. And I would fight, but this man had me in a firm grip around the throat. I struggle uselessly.

We were turned in by an old 'friend' in exchange for the bounty on their head to disappear. When I get out of here I'm going to kill them.

The king, Able, doesn't exactly like me, because I killed his daughter, and he doesn't Robyn because, well let's just say him and the queen, Lila, had a lot of fun one night.

I would laugh at my thoughts about him and the queen, then Able finding them and Robyn having to flee quickly, but the guard his little mercy.

I try to take a breath, but I'm then thrown into a cell with stone walls and no windows, the only exit the door. The door was wood, and had bars as a window, I could break out easily. Thank the gods.

As I get up off the floor, Robyn is thrown in.

"Aren't they friendly," he says, catching his breath. "I know where they took our packs, you're welcome."

"Ok. How soon can we get out," I ask?

"Um... Would now be good," he smirks?

"That would be perfect," I smile, then turn to the door.

I reach my arm through the bars. I'm suddenly get scared I'm going to get stuck and pull it back. Once I see I can get in and out, I try again.

I can't reach far down, but just enough to the very top of the door handle.

I look to Robyn, and he's already next to me putting his hands together to make a stepping stool. I put my foot on it and he lifts me with ease, then again I'm helping with my weight.

I grasp the only part on the handle i can and pull it up.

I balance it like that and then say," now we have to get the keys."

Thankfully they were on the wall next to the door. Robyn lifts me again and I reach as far as I can. It takes a couple moments to grab them, but I struggle even more with putting the keys in and actually unlocking the door.

We finally get the door open. And step into the most intricate dungeon there is. Every cell is it's own block, making many turns with different hallways all leading somewhere different. I take a step to the right, the way I came here, but Robyn stops me.

"Do you want your supplies or not," he asks, tilting his head left. "Let's go. Come, quickly."

We sneak past sleepy guards and avoid wide awake ones. The walls are watching us, making me feel trapped in the dungeon.

"Robyn, are you sure," I aks?

"Yes, no be quiet," he says, looking down the hallways to make sure it's clear.

We walk for longer and finally find our supplies in a room full of other criminals supplies. I take a moment to look inside and make sure all is well in my bag.

Robyn and I make our way up to the main castle silently. We make it to the paint room, where we are than trapped behind a couch. Wish I could say we were faster at climbing.

The king had walked in with his son, giving an all out speech.

"You see what I mean is that you have to always be aware of your surroundings. Especially since you are royal, many want to kill you-"

I mean, he's not lying.

"Let's go to the garden now, and I shall tell you about my fathers way of ruling-" the king had finally left.

"What an interesting conversation they had," I say to Robyn and he smiles.

"I would delightfully cut my ears off in the middle of it," he says, taking my hand and leading me out of the palace.

We run to the stables and get on our horses, which happen to be conveniently alive. We start at a fast pace but once we reach the end of town we slow. The sun starts to peak from the horizon, and we finally make it out of wretched Key.

Short sorry. And the reason they aren't tired is because they are used to staying up to kill or escape being killed. If you want more descriptive writing just ask. So bye thanks for reading
