A new feeling

*The next afternoon*

-Hailey pov-

H: It's the next evening me and Jay are going out on a date tonight, he didn't tell me were so I decided to surprise him and wear a black long sleeve turtle neck a black leather jacket some grey pants and some black stiletto boots

With my hair up in a mid pony in the middle of my scalp

I apply some makeup with some red lipstick for a pop of colour and a light Smokey eye

It's 6:30pm and Jays picking me up I grab a purse from the hook behind my door and put my phone and lipstick in it and clipping my badge to my hip.

-Jay's pov-

I pull up outside Hailey's I'm wearing a navy suit 

I'm expecting her to be in jeans and a nice silk top with a denim jacket but when I knock on the door and I see her there in front of me in a black turtle neck a black leather jacket some grey pants and some black stiletto boots, my jaw drops to the floor she looks so beautiful

*20 minutes later we pull up to a really nice expensive restaurant*

H: "Jay this is like the most expensive restaurant in Chicago, I can't except this"

J: "You deserve it hails"

H: A smile forms on my lips as J ay gets out the truck and comes and opens my side for me and takes my hand "such a gentlemen"

*A hour n a half later*

J: "Dessert?" I say 

H: "Oh yes the food here is amazing!"

J: "the best and only the best for you Hails"

H: "Hmm what should we get?"

J: "Apple pie or Raspberry cheesecake?"

H: "apple pie for sure."

J: "Ok" I say as I flag down a waiter they take our main course plates and give us a bottle of champagne I refill mine and hails glass as it's getting low

H: "So we need to talk."

J: I look at her confused "About what?" I reply

H: "Telling people" Jay smirks

J: "I like our little secret" I says as I put a hand under the table a rub her thigh

* there dessert shows up they eat and talk and then paid*

H:* Let's go on a walk she says

J: "Ok" I reply back

-They walk for 30 minutes down the river walk before stopping and sitting on a bench-

H: "Jay Halstead" I say

J: "Hailey Anne Upton" I reply and grab her cheek and kiss her

H: I kiss Jay back and let our tounges intertwine with each other slowly but deeply

J: I've never felt such warmth from one human in my life she's the light that keeps me awake at night or when I'm down she sees the pain beyond my smile plastered on my face.

H: I pull away and see the biggest smile on his lips I've known him for just over a year and I have never seen him be so happy, "What?" I ask

J: "You hails you light up my day when all I see is darkness you can see the pain behind my smile you handle my PTSD better than anyone ever has Hailey Anne Upton I'm in love with you I have been since the day I saw you walk up those steps.

H: I take a second to focus on the words that just came out of his mouth "I love you to Jay Halstead the second I saw you I knew in me I was gonna fall head over heels in love with you and now look where we are. I lean in and kiss him again more passionately this time we barely take a breath for air for 3 minutes until we hear

J: A raspy voice clear there throat

SV: "Upton, Halstead"

H: Me and Jay look each other we just got caught making out on a bench by our boss

H: "Sarge" I reply nervously
