A new feeling

"THE PROPOSAL"

-Jays pov-

J: I'm in the break room and me and Hailey had been dating for about a year now we've moved in together and I'm going out with Hails tonight for our one year anniversary we normally don't do anniversary's but it's our one year so we thought we would do something special and in our luck we got off early at 4:00pm as we only had paper work that day cause there was no case. 

-Hailey's pov-

H: I'm at home getting ready for tonight as it's mine and Jay's one year anniversary we normally don't celebrate but its our one year so Jay insisted on taking me out and I hear a knock on the door "Hey Kim"

K: "Hey Hails Jays changing at the district he want's me to drive you 

H: "It's not our wedding day!" I laugh

K: "What you wearing" I say to Hailey as we walk upstairs there new house is so beautiful

H: "I can't decide on two" I say as we walk in the bedroom with two outfits laying on the bed one dress and one blazer and pants set with a sheer top of course its Hailey so she chooses the blazer 

-A hour later-

-Jay's pov-

J: I'm at the restaurant as I see Kim pull up with Hailey seeing as Hailey couldn't drive because of her heels she looked beautiful she of course not in a dress but the top she's wearing enough to grab a guys attention before I give him the 'she's mine look' I mouth to Kim thank you before she speeds of to get ready for the proposal as I asked Kev, Adam, Kim and Voight to be there on the Riverwalk when I propose their like my family.

H: I smile at Jay before grabbing his hand and going into the restaurant 

W-Waiter

W: "Good evening do you two have a table booked"

J: "Yes under Halstead"

W: "Follow me"

H: We follow the waiter before stopping at one of the luxury booths "Jay you didn't have to" I say while sitting down

W: "I'll take drink orders then I'll be back for food orders"

J: "Bottle of champagne the best you have please "Ja-" I hear Hailey say but before she can say anything else I put my hand on her thigh

W: "Ok I'll be back in five"

H: "Jay Halstead just because no-one can see your hand doesn't mean they can't tell were it is!"

J: "You'll have to be quiet then" I whisper in her ear as I move my hand up further before Hailey inhales a sharp breath and then I pull away

H: "You'll pay for that later"

J: "Can't wait" I smirk at her as the Waiter reappears with a bucket with a bottle of Champagne sticking out of it

W: "Here you go" 

J: The waiter sets down to glasses and pours us a drink each

W: "What would you like to order for starters?

H: "We don't want starters just a main please"

W: "What would you like?"

J: "I'll have a lobster"

H: "I'll have a steak"  

*2 hours later they officially leave*

-General pov-

J: I feel my pocket and I feel the ring box so I grab Hailey's hand and we start walking down the Riverwalk

H: Me and Jay decide to walk along the River walk seeing as we walked along it on our first date

Kim: "Jay messaged there walking along now"

Kev: "Alright"

Adam n Voight just smirk 

H: As we walk down the river walk I see small tealight candles placed along the side of the path and rose petals I look up at Jay and smile as we turn the corner I see the unit Kim smiling Voight smiling which is rare Kev n Adam smiling as well there all dressed up in suits and Kim is in a dress Jay steps in front of me into a space of rose petals and tealights in the shape of a heart.

J: "Hailey Anne Upton, Since they day I first saw you my eyes lit up I've known you for almost two years and the past year I've been able to call you mine I was wondering if I was able to call you mine forever." I say while tearing up

H: I'm trying focus on Jay's words but I'm crying and so is Kim even Hank shed a tear Kev and Adam just really happy and smiling "YES" I shout before Jay can finish he's shaking and crying like our body's are in sync because I'm shaking and crying "I love you" I whisper as Jay and I close our space and kiss 

J: Everyone starts cheering even attracted a crowd 

SV: "have a good night you two have the day off tomorrow" I say as I put them each on the shoulder and hug Hailey and congratulate them 

//this chapter was longer but this story is gonna only have like 12-15 chapters and then I'm going to do another fan fic based on Jay Halstead and Ava Rodgers love at first sight in the Rangers but choose to ignore there feelings until they see each other 6 years later//
