I walked into the restaurant, after I'd paid the taxi driver.
I was thinking ten hundred things at the same time. What I actually want to know is the truth.
Who's Tyler, and who's Jason? What is going on? What in Pete's sake have been going on? What mess does it seem like I'm into? Mahn, I'm damned!
I wanted to know alot of things. I wanted to know if I was some kind of doll to be toyed with. I should keep it cool, don't go blowing off like an untamed dragon. I don't think there's a tamed dragon, still I need to play cool.
There are lots, I mean thousands of things I need to say to Tyler. I just don't want to blow up and mess everything.Immediately I sighted Tyler, I took a deep breath, smiled and walked towards him. I smiled the more as I noticed he seen me.
"You look absolutely stunning." He complimented me immediately I sat opposite him, triggering me to take a quick look at him.
He wore a white short sleeve t-shirt, having Adventure, You say? printed on the front; a light slate grey slim fit chinos pants and a black Adidas classic sneakers.
Nothing's changed in his facial appearance. Still box bearded, with his usual haircut. He was happily smiling like a little boy who just got the latest PlayStation as his birthday gift.
".... Thank you." I tried my best to avoid any interaction with his eyes. I have plans you know, I'm not going to act stupid on this one.
"Pizza?" He was full of enthusiasm, but I didn't care. Doesn't matter what game he trying to play on me. Amma show him who plays better. What am I even saying? Well, I took out my phone from my black mini bag and began scrolling.
"I prefer just soda. I don't have appetite for pizza." I continued to pay my attention on my phone, as I went to my picture gallery.
"Oh....." I noticed he relaxed on the chair.
"It's rude...." I looked at him unsure of what I heard.
"It's rude to go on a date with someone, having your attention fully on your phone.""So what should my attention be on?" I put my hands on table.
"Hello? I'm here...."
"Whatever....."
"What is the matter Ivy?"
"A material substance that occupies space, has mass, and is composed predominantly of atoms consisting of protons, neutrons, and electrons, that constitutes the observable universe, and that is interconvertible with energy." I have to keep smiling so as not to make the whole situation seem intense; although still trying not to appear petty.
"I know you're smart, but that's not the answer to my question...." He kept smiling gorgeously. I quickly narrowed my eyes away from his in an unsuspecting way; so I won't end up falling for his Playboy attitude, or blowing up my cover.
"I didn't think you know I'm smart...." I don't know what expression be sitting on his face, but I thanked the god of curiosity for withholding his gift right now.
"What is the matter, Mr Hartfied?" I still refused to lock eyes with him."It's been a while I heard you call me that...." Well since I don't know what exactly you are, it's only fair and appropriate to address you this way - Mr Hartfied.
".... There's no matter, unless we make one."We? Did I just hear you say we, as in, we? Or you're speaking french, qui now? I cast him a disgusted look, but immediately retrieved it moment I got hold of my emotion.
"There's no matter then....." Oh Ivy Dean, you're doing great. Just keep smiling. The waiter came by our table to get our orders.
"Soda...." I smiled at this handsome descent looking young man who was standing up by me.
