(Seokjins POV)
It had been a year since Bangtan disbanded. It hadn't exactly been easy, but Mary has stayed by my side the entire time. Mary is my girlfriend, we've been together for about a year and two months. I met her in the bar, which doesn't sound like the perfect place to meet your significant other but there nobody ever recognized me as an idol. Just a man going out for drinks, it was perfect.
We only had a few months left until we disband and we'd been working our asses off preparing for this last tour. As much as I love being in BTS, sometimes it could be a pain. It was just an endless cycle at times. Wake up, get ready, practice, go home, sleep, and then it loops back around. We hadn't had a break for so long and right now I needed to get away from the idol life. I left the boys at the house after practice and decided to walk to 'The Grand'. 'The Grand' is the bar that me and the rest of the group go to when we need some off time because we're never noticed there.
I wore a ball cap just in case I ran into a fan. It really does sting a little that I have to worry about that, but ARMY loves us. Even if they love me a little less than the others, I know there are some that care for me. Once I stepped out of my thoughts, I saw that I was closer to the bar than I thought.
I opened the heavy black doors that I hadn't walked through in a while to see that they had made a few renovations, not too much, but enough to notice. I sat down on one of the many seats at the bar as a short, blond, woman approached me. From the outfit she was wearing I was guessing she was a barista. A cute one at that.
"How may I help you?" She spoke in a somewhat rude demeanor but she's probably had a long day so I let her off. "Is Cole here?" The woman rolled her eyes at me and took in a deep sigh. She was starting to piss me off and I'm already frustrated enough. I looked at her name tag to see 'Maryland' engraved in it. "Look Maryland, I've had a long night, could you please just go see if Cole is here?" She peered into my eyes for a moment. "Whatever." I watched her walk away with an attitude into the staff only lounge. She didn't have to be so rude about it. I was about to walk out until I saw Cole walk out the lounge.
"Hey Jin, why you leaving so early man?" I sent the man a light forced smile. Cole was the manager here and he was my on the low best friend. He's a tall, well built, kind and gentle man. He hears me out. He's the one person in this bar who knows who I am, but I told him myself, I'm an idol. "Oh hey, it's just that they Maryland lady really killed my mood and I came here for peace." He pinched his nose, turning it paler than he already is and sighed deeply. "Look, I'm really sorry about her. She's new but today she came in a bad mood and she's been pissing people off all day." I laughed and tapped the slightly taller man on the shoulder. "That's alright Cole. You got time to take my order, I'm craving a Martini?" He smiled and nodded his head. "Yeah, I got you man, give me a sec."As soon as he walked away I felt a buzz in my back pocket.
One message from Namjoon.
Great, he woke up.
Namjoon
- Jin where you at???
Seokjin
- I'm at The Grand. Why, did something happen?
Namjoon
- No, I just woke up and I didn't see you. Btw, I'm coming to get you.
Seokjin
- Why, can I not have alone time?!
Namjoon
- We have practice in 6 hours Jin, you'll have hangover and won't be ready to work.
Seokjin
- Whatever, I'm having at least one drink before you get here though.
