Eloquent
“Well? Aren’t you going to climb?”
The words ringed in her mind suggestively as she hesitated at his offer, eyes staring at the reached out hand. Should I? Or should I just go out from the main door?
“Shouldn’t we wait for the doctor?” She asked, her heterochrome orbs fixated to his monochrome’s. Her hand that was holding the bag clutched hearder as she felt like it was wrong...
“Don’t you want to see your house? Besides, it would take a long time if you even wait for the doctor to finish examining you and allow you to go home. You are curious about your house, right?” The male teen’s words sounded so sweet, so tempting. She was curious about her house, that, she couldn’t deny. Was it big or small, minimalist or complex, she didn’t know, obviously because of her memory lost.
Well... curiosity killed the cat. Being engulfed in curiosity, humpty-Ophelia climbed up the wall and just seconds after, humpty-Ophelia fell down the wall. For all of her friends and her lost memories couldn’t stop her falling into the deep well.
Elegantly, she pushed herself from the window sill, surprising his feet because of the sudden contact with earth. Her feet jolted and wore off from the sudden weight, along with her elegantness. She fell down with a soft thud, her back met the hard cold wall.
The teen’s slender hand reached out her sore body parts and rubbed them in hope they will get better soon enough. Much to her dismay though, her hope wouldn’t be granted in a matter of seconds.
Ophelia was too occupied with her bottom parts of her body to realize that the owner of the black orbs had bent down and reached out a hand to her, trying to offer a helping hand.
A low groan escaped between her lips as she moved her hand from her bottom to accept the offer given. Carefully and gently, the jet black haired teen focused his strength mainly on his arm, while balancing his own body to prevent his own fall.
The teenage girl he held pulled herself up also to reduce his effort of helping her while hoping that he wouldn’t toppled over onto her. As she regained her balanced state, she twisted her body a little to check on her back, then she dusted herself, cleaning her clothes from dirt and grime.
Two coloured orbs stared at two black pearls, eyes fixated on them, allured. The black within the whites looked like a never ending black hole, as if there’s something hidden in there, where no one would ever find as one walked thorough the road without the light of guidance.
Seconds that seems like minutes passed, the girl soon realized what she was doing, her brain’s gear quickly turned, trying to find an excuse for her to be pardoned once more. Neurons interacted with each other, while she maintained a straight face to cover up the mess beneath her skull.
An imaginary light bulb turned itself on, lighten the once pitch black brain as her lips parted, “Well? Aren’t you going to show me the way to my house?”
A victorious smile was spread inwardly, but soon was turned upside down as his reaction didn’t really went as her expectation, “Are you going to hold hands with me as we walk?” Black orbs stared down at their enwitted hands, underlining what he meant.
Damn... How can he...? A wide grin was spread on his face, victorious in his way. As if he could read her mind. His hand was thrown away as an immediate reaction from the ravenette.
Keen... Intelligent... Analytic... Teaser... Annoying... many words crossed her mind, swirling and twirling, describing the teen standing in front of her as she stretched out her arms only to crossed them infront of her chest, with the duffle bag swaying beneath them.
The ravenette moved her feet in a slow rhythm, slowly going towards the opposite way from the hospital, while she tried to listen for footsteps from the other teen. Soon after, the rhythmed sound she wanted to hear followed, she found herself walking right beside the teen. Heavy silence fell between them as they walked, burdening the girl. Questions came into her mind, but she knew she could only ask one, thus, she picked the one she’s most curious on.
“How did we met?” She asked so sudden, without an introduction or come-between and straight to the point. The one who escorted her merely gave a smile before he parted his lips,
“Do you want to know me that much?” He asked in a teasing tone, a smirk adorn his face.
As a reward from her, he earned a smack from the already annoyed ravenette.
“Shut up and answer my question.” She demanded.
“Alright, alright, geez... You’ve never be so womanly.”
“Excuse me?”
“Nothing. So, you wanna know our first meeting, correct? It was like this...”
A young girl in the age of nine was sitting with her knees glued onto her chest, her hands wrapped around them securely while her eyes were swollen while tears ran down her cheek.
Silence engulfed the narrow alley as only the sound of someone crying could be heard. The girl buried herself into her arms and knees, but then was startled when someone patted her.
“Shush... don’t cry... what’s wrong?” a boy in a coat soothed her, trying to comfort her, “why are you here? Especially when it’s already late at night...”
The girl only looked at him, quite shocked, but then she rubbed her pooled eye and decided to open up, “I was abused by my parents... then I ran away...” As soon as she finished her sentence, her cry became louder.
The boy wrapped himself around her, trying to calm her down, “Shush.... it’s alright... everything is fine... say, what’s your name?”
“Ophelia...” She answered, staring at him.
“Ophelia huh? What a nice name, the name’s Excidio.” He said, but just then, a voice called out.
“Oh! That’s my mother calling! Sorry because I can’t accompany you much longer, but cheer up, okay? That look doesn’t suit you!” He said with a grin, as he waved a hand and dashed off.
“...That was how we met.” He explained, but when she was going to throw another question, he cut her, “We’re here.”
Oh the moon in the sky
Thy hear the song of sorrow
Oh the stars in the sky
Thy hear the sound of madness
Oh the sun in the sky
Thy hear the voice of pain
Oh hear the sound of the wind
Rustling and brushing
Lulling a soft lullaby
Covering the exposed
Paroxysm
