Chapter 4| A Warm Welcome

Kagami POV:

           I was talking and chatting with my friends until I looked around and saw a sad Chloe. I thought about going over there and talking to her and asking what was wrong. Recently she had apologized for all of the things she had done to everyone, including taking advantage of Sabrina, apologizing to everyone that she had bullied, and so, I thought she was working towards redemption. Then Marinette called to me, telling me to sit down before Ms.Bustier came. I sat down in my assigned seat, where I had no one next to me. The rest of the class all sat down in waiting for her to start. She after finally put her things down and giving us a 'Good Morning!' she started talking, "Today we have a new student" people started whispering amongst themselves, she told them to all calm down before announcing who he was.

"Everyone welcome, Luka Couffaine!"
My face unknowingly lit up as I saw who it was. I gave him a small wave and looked back at Ms.Bustier. " Mr. Couffaine"- (she was addressing to him in a very formal way, seeing that it was his first day, but later on when he's settled in I think she'll just be calling him 'Luka' ) "please sit next to Kagami" he walked up since he already knew who I was right when Ms.Bustier was gonna ask me to stand up so he wouldn't be lost. " Oh I see you two must already know each other" we both nodded our heads. "well then, Kagami can you please show Luka around the school at lunchtime?" she asked. "Of course"

Luka POV:

"Okay" she started, "that's our whole school tour, now we can go have lunch! do you want to eat with us?" the bluenette asked "Sure, it'll make me feel less like the 'new kid', so" she gave an adorable little laugh while we walked to the table of people, which included , from what I know, Alya, (Mari's best friend) Marinette, then another dude with glasses , (A/N remember that they have different outfits every day ,like normal people, so none of Nino's iconic red/orange hat 😔 ) Adrien, and Red-Head. They all waved hello and made space for Kagami and I to sit down.
Kagami and Marinette sat in between me and Adrien (Kagami being closer to me and Marinette closer to Adrien) . "So um, who exactly are you two?" I said, pointing at the red head and the guy with glasses. "Oh I'm Nathaniel! I'm the artist of the group" said the red-head "And I'm Nino, your favorite dj" he said while giving me finger guns. Alya punched him in the shoulder while we all laughed. An unfamiliar blonde who I assumed was one of their friends came walking up to us. First thing she said was "Dupain-Cheng- I mean, Marinette, can I talk to you in private?" she seemed very nervous, but when I looked around I saw the rest of them were giving disapproving looks, so I assumed my first assumption was wrong and that she wasn't very welcome. Marinette gave her an "okay" and walked off with her. I whispered to Kagami "what's going on?" "I don't know, I'm just following what they're doing so I don't look completely lost". As I chuckled she whispered back, "Don't laugh, you were the one to aske me to begin with!". It was more of a whisper-shout if I'm gonna be honest.

Kagami POV

When Marinette came back to us with a big smile on her face, everyone let out a sigh of relief. Even I let out a breath I didn't know I had held in. "What happened?" her boyfriend asked "Oh nothing, just Chloe progressing towards being a better person"

Timeskip to the end of the school day brought to you by Adrien wearing a Ladybug onsie and Marinette wearing a Chat Noir one (I have a thing for onesies)

" So, uh, Kagami? " Luka asked " yes? " "do you wanna ride home with me? on my bike I mean" "Oh, um" I looked to Alya and Marinette for help, and they both gave me a thunbs up. " That sounds like fun! but do you have an extra helmet? I also have to tell my driver to not pick me up, so let me just do that." I informed him "Yeah, I have an extra helmet, and sure". I made sure my driver got the message, and put on the helmet. "I'm not very familiar to riding bikes so," he laughed (which by the way, was VERY HOT- wait what, no Kagami Tsurugi you are NOT feeling for someone you just met , like a day ago) then continued " It's okay, hold on to me and I'll go slowly at first, but no promise that I won't go super fast" "LUKA!" "okay okay, still no promises "

Luka POV:

She started to smack me on the arm, but it hurt, a LOT. "Kagami, Ouch! ow! how are you so strong?" "I do fencing and work out?" she said with her hand on her hips and a raised eyebrow. "oh" I let out a breath and then told her to get on the bike. "So, where do you live?" she showed me to her house, and like I didn't promise, I sped up at the end. " LUKAAAAAAA" she screamed while tightening her grip on me. " なぜルカ！" she shouted "WHAT?" I shout back "oh yeah , you don't speak Japanese" "what's it Japanese for?" " 'why luka' "
"..." I started going even faster. "I SWEAR TO GOD LUKA COUFFAINE I W I L L THROW YOU OFF THIS BIKE" " sure you will" she started shaking the bike threateningly. " okAY OKAY CHILL KAGAMI" "hmph"

A few minutes later...

    "You know, maybe this isn't so bad" she admitted "yeah?, if you want, I'll go a  b i t  slower and you can stand up" I heard a big gasp and a child-like "really?" "yeah" as I slowed down, she stood up and went "WEEEEEEEE" progressively getting louder as I sped up again. After a sudden stop, I asked if she was okay , "yeah, I'm fine, but do you think we can stop, get juice, and watch the sky?" It sounded like a great idea, and we found a nice hill with a great view to sit on. " how about, we make this our little spot?" I suggested. She looked at me, with and (adorable) suprised face and said " We can do that?" "Of course!"

        We talked for a while and we started looking at the clouds and their shapes. I then looked at her and how her hair looked like spread in the grass, the way she spoke about the clouds like she was a cloud specialist, her brown eyes that resembled honey pools when the sunlight hit them, naturally blushed cheeks, and her beauty in general. "Luka? Luka!" " huh? yeah, i'm here" "so what do you think?"  " um, hehe, sorry what were you talking about" "Lukaaaa" "sorryyy" "that cloud, what does it look like to you?" " A dinosaur " what! it looks like a cupcake"  "no, dinosaur!" "cupcake! " "dinosaur!" after that went on for a while, we burst into laughter and just started chatting about, everything honestly, and I have never connected with a person more, you know what, maybe I DO like her, nah , (don't say it,don't say it,don't say it) she's just a friend, right? (damnit) or maybe not...
