The Dark Forest Show: Part I

9. Valkyria

The more you walk the darker the water turns. The mud turns dark till you see the water is completely black. And it goes deeper till the water's level's on your belly button. Anhell follows you swimming. You feel as every time the water's smell turns progressively worse till the point you see no life around you.

There's a slow current you can't avoid. You move around it, although you make more force to advance.

You and your dog stay quiet when you see something white comes slowly to you. You both look at this thing, but it doesn't move for itself, it is just dragged by the current.

When it passes in front of you you can see it: it's a skeleton. A human one. You don't know where you are but it is getting worse.

You can see some rocks with a brown substance on some of it. Sometimes the current turns hotter for a moment.

As there's no life around, only some rotten trees and flies flying around. You can also see you're near the mountains.

"What a bad and nasty place to die" says a femenine voice.

You look around but you see no one

"You don't know where you are, are you?" continues

"Where are you? I wanna see you" you shout. Anhell is ready to fight.

And she shows you aiming you with a gun. She's Valkyria, the most veteran hunter in the show, and she surprises when she sees the dog.

Valkyria: "Here's not the best place to make friends. I don't eat animals. Trust me or not I'm vegetarian"

"Then what are you doing here?"

Valkyria: "Hunting humans like you. I'm vegetarian but I eat humans. I hunt here because no one comes. Do you wanna know why?" Says while she comes to you aiming with her gun.

"Do I have option?"

Valkyria laughs: "That's Cara's bathroom. No one comes here, that's my zone. And if some hunter dares to come here I eat her anyway. It wouldn't be the first time."

Her body is sexy and she wears nothing but a bikini.

Valkyria: "Once I've made you disappear, your dog will need a new owner. Do you want to know who was its last owner? She was Kayla, a young hunter I ate 2 years ago. She was not even in my territory but she had something I wanted, the dog. She deserved it, just like you. Honestly I don't know why he trusts you, he used to track people. I lost him one week ago. By the way, it's name is Lunchy, he used to find Kayla's lunch. You should keep the name"

"If you kill me, it will attack you and will never be yours"

Valkyria: "I know it, that's why you will order to stay here while you leave. Lunchy worth more than you."

You look up and see Cara flying around.

"Then I'll be free?"

Valkyria: "Not for long. This dog was trained to trust fast in people. Once you leave I'll order him to find you. And trust me, Lunchy always finds its objective. Or I can shoot you both, eat you and abandonate it here. Actually I'll give you a third option. Look, you don't know how much I'll enjoy eating you. You're the special one. Guess why. Today you're the 100th person I eat and I will do something I never did before. If you come slowly to me I promise it will be fast."

But you won't die today. You know you're not gonna live for long but you know she has a gun and not you, so you walk away looking at her eyes all time.
