*Prologue*
I wait in the white, boring room at the hospital, waiting for the doctor to come back out to tell me how Niall, my husband, is doing. I begin to think of all the times we had together. The day we met at the amusement park. How he proposed to me, our first kiss, and all the things we have laughed about over the years, and that all could be taken away from us because of a motorcycle accident. I start playing with my hands, thinking of how he used to hold them, with our fingers fitting perfectly together. A tear falls down my cheek and I let it fall. After a while I notice the doctor walk in so I stand up immediately and wipe my tears away as I walk over to him.
