"wait! so i just.. go in? and then what? should i wait for her to come in or should i go to a table or-"

"first step is getting out of my car." mary said impatiently, tapping her fingernails on the steering wheel.

she had grudgingly agreed to drive everyone over to the selected coffee shop, yumeko unincluded, because she was still asleep in itsuki's bedroom and no one saw point to waking her up just to have her cause minor issues at the store.

but her patience was wearing thin now that itsuki was getting very anxious in her car and almost refusing to go into the coffee shop now that the time had actually come.

"well don't ghost her, idiot. it'll be fine, she called you almost as much as you called her." you say patiently, sensing if you don't do something mary might just kick the freshman out of her car and drive off.

"whatever you do, if you get nervous, don't imagine her naked." mary smirked, and itsuki went completely red in the face, hands flying out to cover the furious blush.

"mary saotome! why would you say that, i-"

"blondie, play nice. she's going to burst in flames." you say importantly, patting itsuki's shoulder while the short haired brunette trembles.

"hey, this is literally one of my only chances to get through that tough skull of her's." mary laughed, turning around in the driver's seat.

"it's fine, itsuki, you'll do great. now go get her.. tiger?" the blonde finished that sentence off a little uncertainly, then shrugged.

"alright. yes. time to go. talk. to. miroslava."

"don't you do that all the time? you two's call lengths are on average five hours each. you can talk to her for like half an hour in a coffee shop."

"right. okay. let's go see if miroslava is as interested in me as i am her." itsuki says confidently, and then almost trips as she tries to get out the vehicle.

"i hope this goes well.."

itsuki entered the small coffee place, scanning around to make sure miroslava wasn't already there. to her relief, she wasn't, and surprisingly, the small place was almost completely empty.

it was a local shop, not one of those large chain restaurants, and employee owed, so that almost always ensured the food would be unique and special from the other highly marketed and churned out types.

light streamed in through the windows, illuminating the cozy sitting places you could choose. the booths had cushioned couches with patterned fabric, reassuring everyone of it's comfort, and if you didn't want to sit on one, even the wooden chairs of casual stop-n-go eating had fluffy cushions strapped onto them.

the theme of this place was natural and healthy, but even so, sweet aromas wafted through the air and itsuki left like she wished she could bottle some of the special oxygen of this place and keep it around with her.

"hello! do you have a reservation?"

"yes, thank you. can you check for sumeragi, itsuki?"

"table for two, booth?"

"yes, that's me."

"right this way, ma'am, you may take your seat while you wait for the rest of your party."
