Tsukki woke up with a start. Images of Yamaguchi in questionable details raced through his head faster than he could comprehend them. He sighed and turned, putting his head against the wall in hopes of cooling down.

Just a dream. Get a grip.

He grabbed his phone off the nightstand to see it was just a little past 9. Having no school sure was rewarding when he got to get away from dummies like Hinata. (Or so he thought)

New message
Yams🍠: I'm home. Thank you for taking care of me Tsukki✨. I couldnt exactly meet you before leaving 😔 Gomen Tsukki.😔😔😔

Tsukki's heart skipped a little at the sparkles after his name but then Yams just uses a shit ton of emojis.
Tsukki quickly answered back telling him to take care and that they'll meet when they do.

Tsukki showered quick and began cleaning up his room. Most of it smelled of Yamaguchi. He couldnt get enough yet he refused to acknowledge any of it. Not his airy head, nor his flustered face, not even wanting to wear the shirts that Yams made a nest out of. None of it. He refused to put any of it to words.

Well even if he wanted to make sense of it, he didnt get the chance to before he heard Hinata and Kageyama call his name.

Aw shit. A study session.

Study date with the king and shrimpy. He cursed the day he let Yams convince him to tutor the blockheads but in all honesty it gave him more time with him, even if he wasn't sure what for.

It sure was going to be insufferable without Yams acting as the sole voice of reason between the unholy trinity- the all too eager dumb tangerine, the grumpy king of broodsville and the impatient beanpole of a salt shaker.

Tsukki ushered them into his room with quite the scowl hating that Yamaguchi's perfect scent will be muddied. He asked them both whether they revised and at least tried to go through things that were explained earlier only to be cut off by Hinata (quite rudely if Tsuki be asked)

"Whoa! Why does your room smell so much like Yama Yama?"

"Oi boke! Dont ask questions like that!" Kageyama roughly grabbed hinata by the nape but not before shooting Tsuki a piercing look.

He sighed as he watched them bicker among themselves and wondered how on the God's green earth were they fated mates when they almost kill each other every other hour.

Must be nice tho. Not having to think.. Just knowing.

"Ne Tsukishima" Hinata looked at him quizzically, determined to get an answer out of him.

The conflict bubbled. As much as Tsuki would hate to admit it the freaks had grown on him. Even if his classmates were dumber than they looked and arrogant, they still had a better thing going for themselves. He realised despite wanting to keep up appearances, they did rely on each other and despite their idiotic way of life, they still had their moments, they still were a pack. A well knit and balanced pack which lend support freely and with warmth.

Tsukishima sighed.

He debated on what he wanted more - his still intact dignity or Yamaguchi in his arms. The image of Yams pressed against his chest won over.

"Okay but I swear if you go blabbering around I'll post your embarrassing tik toks"

"You wont-" kageyama began to be cut off by Hinata "they aren't embarrassing and we just wanna help"

Kageyama scoffed "well, I'm just here for the cringefest that'll follow when he opens up"

Hinata elbows kageyama "I'll put you out on the floor baka"

"Boke"

Tsukishima cleared his throat impatiently and drew their attention back to the matter at hand. He began but then just gestured at them "how?"

Kageyama stifled a smug chuckle while Hinata seemed lost in thought.

Hopeless. This is hopeless. Tsuki was more than irritated, the frustration got to him.

"Oi king you might have found someone unfortunate enough to tolerate your ramblings but peasants can still overthrow you"

"Tsukishima c'mon" Hinata cut in before Kageyama could retort back.

"Listen clearly you want Yamaguchi so just go for it" kageyama threw at him while Tsuki felt anger bubble in him. If only it were that easy.

"The fuck kinda advice is that king? Not everything is as easy for others as it is for your Highness"

Hinata groaned and slumped against the table. He looked troubled and quite frankly constipated. Neither of the Alpha's looked at each other, kags mostly because the floor was uncomfortable to sleep on and Tsuki because he couldn't really grasp that he was actually asking the dumbest people for advice.. Romantic advice. (🤦‍♀️)

"Tsuki-" Tsuki scrunched his nose at the nickname but Hinata continued with more emphasis "Tsuki you've known each other forever and honestly you both fit each other so well so just take it easy and it'll come to you naturally and the fact that you didnt even have to mention what or who you are worried about should make it clear that everything points to the fact even others can see it so stop pinning like you're in some anime!" Hinata drew in another breath and continued "you are perfect for each other so let things take their own course and dont be afraid to nudge them along if you are feeling overly antsy but itll be okay you'll figure it out!" He finished in the same breath and tsukishima wasnt sure whether to be impressed with how much he could speak with so little air or to be horrified that others can clearly see how he feels and assume that Yamaguschi feels the same

"I see you did remember some of the words we studied together" tsukishima said softly wanting to ignore the tornado of feelings and words brewing in him.

Hinata looked at him sharply while Kageyama rubbed circles on his back. Clearly the whole situation was alarming for the omega, enough to bring about a sour ting to his usually citrus and tangerine scent.

"Let's just finish up so we can practice volleyball quicker" kageyama said to cheer Hinata up which worked but never took his eyes off Tsukishima.

Tsuki nodded his gratitude, knowing the other alpha was buying him time to sort his head.

Suddenly Tsuki was glad he didn't have to close himself off. He did have friends. Dumb friends but friends nonetheless.
