I woke up to the smell of "...FOOD!". A fresh smell of cooking food crept its way into my nose. Excitedly I stood up and look into the kitchen. There stood Xiao with a apron around him. He had a conflicted and confused expression plastered on his face. It looked like he was struggling with the cooking. "Good Morning Xiao! Why are you cooking?" I curiously asked knowing very well that he doesn't eat anything besides Almond Tofu.
"Don't you humans eat?" He spat at me. "Woaw calm down mister angry, let me do it!" I smiled at him and he quickly handed me the spatula. Xiao walked out and sad down on the front porch, enjoying the morning air. Slyly I got some almonds and put them into the blender to make almond tofu. I made sure the sweet dessert was perfect and carried all the food outside. "I know it's early in the morning and it's a dessert, but enjoy anyway." Moderately I placed the plate of almond tofu in front of him. His eyes started to glow and it looked like he almost smiled. "Thank you." Came a quiet mumble. I watched him as he took the plate and put a spoonful of almond tofu into his mouth. Watching him made me feel at ease. At that moment I felt like he was able to relax and let his pain go. He quickly finished his portion and stood up that instant "You still have training." He sternly mentioned and left. Alone I sat there staring at his empty plate. I heaved a big sigh and decided to get ready for the training that was about to approach me.
"Milady." A voice echoed behind me. My body turned and there stood the man I know as Zhongli. "Oh, Zhongli.. what are you doing here?" "I came to see if you are safe. That adepti left without me being able to check on you." "Oh, I have to leave so, but care for some tea?" "Thanks, but no thanks, I must be on my way again. I'll be back to see you again. But before I leave I have an offer for you." I curiously looked at the taller male. "I don't feel safe with myself to see you living alone. I am offering you to stay with us of the funeral parlor. Of course you won't be living there, but with me. I have a spare room, which you can use." He offered me. I was confused. Why would a stranger just randomly let me stay over at his place. I unsurely smiled at him "I'll think about it, thank you for the offer Zhongli." He nodded at me and turned the other way to leave. I was left alone to rummage through my own thoughts, though I remembered... I have to train!!
