"Incoming!"

I opened my mouth getting ready for the Cheeto that unfortunately missed its target and hit me smack in the face.

"Gee thanks, my face definitely needed that more than my stomach," Was my sarcastic comment to follow.

My sister was quick to respond, "Shut your fat ass up."

"Jamie and Maddie," Came a stern yet soft voice, "You're supposed to be unpacking!" My mother, Ava, shouted from inside.

"We are!" I shouted back before turning to Maddie, "Bitch start unpacking," I whispered, almost gritting my teeth at the idiot before me.

"Jamie this is all your stuff, I'm only here to help." Maddie, my sister aka the idiot before me, whined .

"You don't help, you cause trouble and antagonise everyone around you." I scoffed.

"That's a bit harsh!" She holds her heart in anguish. It was obviously ironically; she's just one big ironic joke.

"Maddison shut up." I sighed, rolling my eyes.

She gagged at the use of her full name. "I'm going to go lay on the couch, you have fun unpacking."

"I hate you."

"I love you too babes."

"Ew, that's fucking incest."

"Sweet home Alabama..." She sings with a bright smile plastered on her face, cheek to cheek.

"Ugh", I groan knowing that she now wasn't going to move from her position on the sofa.

Stupid Maddie.

Now with the realisation I was going to have to move the pile of over 20 large and heavy moving boxes upstairs I sighed deeply. Instead of sulking for the entire time I decided to count this as exercise; I have to find some way to keep up my shape until I find a gym around here. As I pick the first box up and make my way upstairs to unload I realise that Maddie would've been more of a hindrance than a help. As my sister, I love her with all my heart but she is built like a twig and would've snapped under the weight of these boxes.

I had moved nearly half of the boxes when I decided to focus back on Maddie just to find her reclined in the sofa downstairs watching TV.

"Tomorrow's Monday right?" I asked Maddie

"Yeah, but what does that have to do with anything?" She answered without taking her attention away from her show.

"Tomorrow we're gonna find you a gym. Or some sort of personal trainer."

"That's long." She complains loudly, too loudly because Ava pauses her conversation on the phone to scold her silently. Maddie apologies and waits until Ava is occupied again to shoot me a finger violently.

"Jamie come out here and help me with these boxes." My other mother, Rebecca requested loudly from outside. She wasn't as loudly spoken as Ava.

"Okay, coming mum!" I answered for us both

I grabbed a pillow from one of the boxes and before I left to fulfil Rebecca's request, whacked Maddie around the face with it. In retaliation she made a face, as if she was stuck between picking to be angry, shocked or in pain. She settled with a death glare before almost falling off the sofa in an attempt to chase after me.

"Fuck you!" She spat at me.

"Language girls." Ava, lectured from the kitchen. She didn't even need to come into view for her voice to resonate. Out of my mums, she's definitely the one to be afraid of.
