Author’s POV:
Soon after half an hour that Malhotras and Goenkas left from the venue.
Rai Singhanias had a hard time processing what they saw, some still stuck in the daze.
Everybody had some question ‘why did she not react to them?’ or ‘why did she behave life they were invisible?’.
Ishani’s POV:
‘Ahaana neh sahi kaha tha yeh Riddhima zinda hai! Par usne itna ajeeb react kyun kiya?’
‘Aur voh Mrs. Malhotra ko Maa kyun bula rahi thi!!’
‘Mujhe yeh sab Ahaana ko batana hoga’
With that thought in mind she left to search for so called Mrs. Rai Singhania.
Engagement party had got over by the time Vansh and Angre got to the ceremony area.
In the evening during dinner Vansh noticed the behaviour of the family members, everybody was somewhere lost, he questioned Dadi “Dadi kya hua?” but she just brushed away from it saying nothing and left as soon as she was done with dinner.
Aryan’s POV:
He was in his room, but mind revolving what had happened in the engagement still stuck there.
“Maine kaha tha na Mom, jiss ladki ko maine dekha tha theen mahine pahele voh Riddhima he thi….” He said towards Chanchal who was pacing from one end to another.
“Matlab tumne joh mujse kaha tha … voh… tumari galatfemi nahi thi…...Voh …..Riddhima he thi…. Voh bhi Malhotras ke saath…” she said bit anxiously.
“Par Aryan voh Riddhima Malhotras jaise logon ko kaise jan sakti hai….” She continued.
“Notice toh maine bhi kiya ki voh Malhotras ko Maa aur Dad bula rahi thi…. Usne apna naam bhi badal ke ‘Dia’ rakha hai…. samaj mein nahi aaraha ki yeh sab kya ho raha hai….” he said in perplexity.
Flashback
3 months ago
Aryan had gone to Delhi because of some work and ended up attending an inauguration of some special cause where Malhotras happened to be the Chief Guests and Mrs. Malhotra was accompanied by someone who was wearing a face mask the whole time.
He had ignored it at first then he heard her voice, without noticing he was trying to figure out the familiarity with this voice.
And when the person had removed the mask during drinks were served, he tried to glance at the person and he did get a chance to look at her, it was none other than Riddhima.
He had mentioned about this to his mother but she brushed it off saying, “Aryan tumhe koi galatfemi ho gayi hogi Malhotras ke saath koi aire gaire Riddhima jaise nahi ho sakthe…”
But somewhere he was sure the person he saw was Riddhima itself.
Flashback ends.
“Mujhe yeh nahi pata Malhotras aur Riddhima ka kya rista hai, par main yeh zaroor jaanta hun ki agar Vansh bhai ko pata chala toh bahut kuch ho sakta hai….” he said imagining what Vansh would do if he gets hold of Riddhima.
