It's February in Michigan. That means it's freezing. Today I have school but I don't even know why. We should've had a snow day there's like two feet of snow outside!
"Carly come on you have to get up or we're going to be late!" My mom said knocking on my door.
"Don't worry I'm getting ready!" I called back to her. I finished putting my make up on and grabbed my phone and backpack. I went downstairs and grabbed a granola bar before going outside. Oh my lord it's freezing! When I got into the car the warm air surrounded me.
"Ugh why can't we just have a snow day!" I pouted laying my head against the window.
"You guys have had four snow days in a row, I think it's fair you guys have school just on Friday" My mom said pulling out of the driveway.
"Well isn't it dangerous driving on the roads?" I questioned.
"Carly quit pouting, you're going to school" My mom smiled at me. I sighed and turn on the radio. 'Uptown Funk' came on. Huh, it's not like I hear this song everyday. Whatever I like it.
"Hey why are we driving this way?" I asked once I realized where we were.
"A car accident happened on the route we usually take" My mom said. We live in a really small town so every time something happens like this it always gets around pretty quick.
"Is everyone okay? Do we know them?" I asked.
"Yes they're fine just bad injuries" My mom said. I nodded and turned up the radio again. Suddenly a car drove out of no where in front of us.
"Mom! Look out-" My screaming was cut off by us crashing into the car. The last thing I heard was screaming and car wheels screeching to a stop. The last thing I felt before I blacked out. Pain.
