FLO WAS QUICK to put her fight with Regulus behind her, though wasn't quick to continue their late night library sessions together. Flo did absolutely everything she could to avoid Regulus, which meant doing most of her studying in the Gryffindor common room. She wasn't able to ignore him for long, though. The Gryffindor vs. Slytherin match was the first Quidditch match of the year, and Flo was lacing up her shoes in preparation for it.
Lizzie was made captain for their seventh year, and together, the two girls built up a pretty good team. Not as good as last years, though good enough to beat Slytherin and have a go at the Quidditch Cup.
Before she knew it, she was fifty feet in the air, the crowd cheering her on as she scored the first points of the game.
Flo glanced to the crowd, noticing Sirius, James, Remus, Pete, Lily and Marlene in the visitor section. She laughed to herself as she watched them cheer on the first ten points of the match. The joy from their faces left suddenly, though, and was replaced with fear. Flo couldn't understand why, until the reason smashed into the side of her stomach, nearly knocking her off her broom.
She held onto her side in pain as the crowd boo'd and her teammates shouted in anger. Flo looked up towards the beater who had hit the bludger her way, not understanding why everyone was so angry. It sucks that at least one of her ribs is definitely broken, but that was the game.
Once she met the eyes of the beater, she finally understand the problem.
Regulus Black was staring back at Flo, a smug smile on his face as Madam Hooch yelled at him and gave Gryffindor a penalty.
Flo pushed aside the pain in her ribs as she flew up to the commotion and towards Regulus, winding her arm back before punching him square in the jaw. This was the second time she had punched Regulus Black in the face during a Quidditch match.
"You're an asshole!" Flo shouts at Regulus, though Lizzie flies in between the two before Flo could have another go at him.
Regulus, though, doesn't respond. Instead, he wipes the blood from his nose and returns to his normal spot a few feet up in the sky, continuing to look for the snitch.
Both teams receive one penalty shot each, and both teams end up scoring.
In the end, Lizzie ends up victorious once again, snatching the snitch just seconds before Regulus could. Gryffindor had won, 370-210, though Flo was in no mood to celebrate. All she wanted to do was see Madam Pomfrey to regrow her broken bones, though she realized she wasn't getting off that easy.
"I owe you my life for punching my brother in his no good face." Sirius swoons once he and the others reach the field.
"You owe me a new rib after that stunt your brother pulled today." Flo groans, still clutching her side. She chooses to keep the whole she and Regulus being allies for a few weeks thing a secret, as it seems the alliance has been broken.
"C'mon, Crown, let's get you to Poppy. I wanted to see her before we left anyways." James smiles. He places an arm around her on her left side, while Pete places an arm around her on her right, and the small Gryffindor gang makes their way back towards the castle.
Florence wishes they did not have to leave in the coming hours.
