Jennie's P.O.V.

"Why can't you answer? What exactly is your feelings for my bestfriend?"

As the atmosphere was left in awkward silence, my phone rang loud, leaving numerous notifications.

I opened my phone, only to see a random selfie by Irene, with no context at all.

"Is... is she drunk?" I laughed out loud, leaving Jungkook curious by my side.

I opened the group chat only to see more selfies sent by Joo-Hyun, one selfie with a shot in her hand.

"She really is drunk..." I chuckled. "Who was it?" He asked. "Your bestfriend Irene. She's drunk." I shook my head, in unbelief.

"She's never been drunk?" He says, which I sighed at. "Well now she is, I didn't even know-" before I could finish my sentence, a figure caught my eye which made me furrow my brows.

"Oh my god..." I mouthed, seeing a drunkass woman, falling unto her knees, struggling to stand still.

"You're drunk? Really? Since when did this woman start drinking..." I uttered, helping Joo-hyun off the ground.

"Will you just watch me lifting her? Or will you help me? Hmm?" I scoffed at Jungkook, who then walks close to help.

"I have never seen her drunk.... Since when did she start drinking?" He asked, "Well so do I, just help me and stop asking questions for now."

He lifts her all by himself, putting her carefully on the nearby bench.

"Gosh, I swear she should not drink. I'm thinking she barely drank and still got drunk. She's lucky she knows her way home while drunk." I mouthed, and then scoffed.

We sat beside her, with her in the middle, placing a boundary in between us.

He looked at her, carefully pulling the strands of hair off her face, tugging it behind her ear.

"Don't you get déjà vu?" I asked, which left him confused.

"Déjà vu? Of what?" He replied.

"Of you tugging her hair behind her ear. I'm sure you used to do that years ago when you were still together." I said.

"Why? You sound like you don't like me caring for a friend? Jealous?" He smiled.

"Friend? That's your ex-girlfriend. And hey, don't get me wrong, just concerned if you're trying to flirt with her while you like her bestfriend." I responded, folding my arms before me.

"You're over analyzing actions too much." He says, with a little shake of his head.

"I'm wondering, how did you manage to be friends after the break up?"

"It's really quite interesting how you got to be friends after breaking up. Won't it be awkward?" I asked.

"We weren't friends right away after the break up. After a year, we met again and had a proper closure. We became friends. That's it, nothing special." He says.

"Alright..." I replied, having nothing to say next.

We both stared at the skies, left with the silence in the atmosphere, and the cold breeze bringing comfort.

"Who broke it? Who broke up first?" I asked, out of the blue. "She. But not because someone hurted someone, she just felt like the need to."

"She probably never told you." I said. "About what?" He asked back. "Stuff, reasons, why she came up with tge decision. She's secretive. It sometimes isn't good for her to keep too much to herself." I sighed.
