A dim light was shining through the windows, but I didn't want to wake up.

"Elena"

My brother's voice was clear. It was time for me to get up.

I have 1 twin brother and 2 older brothers, no sisters, and I'm the youngest, so you can see how well arguing with them works.

Guess it's time to get dressed.

I went downstairs after getting dressed and walked out the door.

There he was, my bae.

Levi was sitting in his car waiting for me, like always, and he had the same genuine smile that he always had when he saw me.

" Good morning babe" he said before he place a passionate kiss on my lips, and I willingly accepted it. We sat there for a minute or two just making out.

We finally broke apart

" Babe, if you don't pull out of this driveway, then one of my brothers are going to come out and threaten you"

My brothers didn't like him for 2 reasons.

1. I had almost lost my virginity to him.

2. Because in their minds, no one is good enough for their baby sister.

No one is good enough unless they say, which made me mad. I don't need protection and I don't need someone to make my choices for me.

After school I went to talk to Levi, but I knew something was wrong, because he didn't greet me with a kiss as usual

"Elena, can i talk to you about something"

"Sure, you can tell me anything"

"I know I should have done this earlier, but I don't think we are going to work"

I stood there in silence as I tired to figure out what to say

"Ok, I guess that works, because my brothers plan to kill you next time they see you, and I'd rather them not go to jail because of a piece of shit like you"

Ethan is my twin brother, and he thinks that because in a girl that I am too vulnerable to being hurt

" I noticed Levi didn't drop you off, is something going on between yall"

" Yes, we broke up if that is what your asking"

" I wasn't asking that, but that's good" 

I rolled my eyes in annoyance," Yeah, whatever you say"

" Elena, he wasn't right for you and you know it"

"You know, I'm tired of yall hating on my boyfriend's but no one says about yalls girlfriends"

" Elena, do you really want to go into all this, because I'm more than happy to go get dad and our brothers"

" You would do it anyway, so it wouldn't matter"

Lecture from family about dating

2 hours into lecture

Me: " Are we done yet, because I have school work and I can't do it if I'm asleep"

Dad: " We are done for now, but we will continue this later"

Me: " Or never would work too"

Dad: " So would being grounded"

Me: " ugh, fine"

The night dragged on for hours it seemed like. The lecture lasted forever, but I finally get to go to bed.
