El was in the bathroom brushing her teeth, while me and Max were picking out comics. We have to choose between three. We decided that we won't have the X-Men comic and just the other two.
El comes out of the bathroom, quite quickly. She lays next to me. I'm in the middle and Max is on my left.
"Which one?" Max asks, holding up the comics. I've already read them. But she schnapped El out of some type of trance.
"I don't know." She says, looking at the Green Lantern comic and the Wonder Woman comic.
"Hey, there's nothing to worry about anymore, okay?" Max says, trying to comfort her.
"It doesn't make sense." El says, looking down.
"What doesn't make sense?" Max asks.
"Heather. The blood. The ice." She says.
"Heather had a fever, so she took a cold bath, but she's better now. That has to be it. I don't know where that blood came from, but... we saw her. We all saw her." Max explains.
"She fine. Hopefully." I whisper the last part myself, not wanting to scare El.
"What about Billy?" El asks.
"What about him?" Max asks.
"He seemed..wrong." El says.
"Wrong is kind of like his default. But it's nice to know he's not a murderer, because that would've totally sucked." Max says, chuckling a little. El looks at the comics and can't choose.
"I can't choose." El says.
"Hold on. I can help." I say. I take the comics and lay them in my lap. I hold my hands out over them and it glowed purple. They started to lift in the air.
"Okay, so, whatever one floats away, is the one we won't read." I say. They nodded my head in agreement. I close my eyes.
Seconds later, I open my eyes. I don't see the Green Lantern comic, so looks like we're reading Wonder Woman.
"Wonder Woman it is." I say. I wipe the blood from my nose and give Max the comic.
"I think it's cool how they glow different colors. Same with your eyes." El says. I smile at her.
"Kinda like Wanda Vision." Max says. I gasp and look at her.
"You shoulda got Wanda Vision." I say.
"Next time." Max says. (Okay so yeah, it is kinda like Wanda Vision. How it glows, the wiggly woos, how you move all of it but it can glow different colors)
"Wait. Who is that?" She says, pointing to the comic book.
"See, this is why you can't just hang out with Mike all the time." I say, laughing. I make El and Max laugh with me.
"This is Wonder Woman. AKA Princess Diana. She's from Paradise Island, which is, like, this hidden island where there are only women Amazon warriors."
We sit there a read El the comic and explain everything to her. We fell asleep moments after reading.
(Time Skip to Morning)
We were asleep, peacefully if I may add, and we all wake up to the Super Com going off and Lucas's voice.
"Do you copy over? This is a code red." Lucas says.
"I repeat, this is a code red. Max. Do you copy? This is a code red." Lucas repeats. I hear Max scoff and walk over to her dresser, where her Super Com lyes.
"Shut. Up." I hear her say. I hear her turn it off, and walk back over to the bed. She plops down and covers up.
I was just about to fall asleep again, but I hear Max's phone ringing. I groan loudly, just wanting to sleep.
