"Uh, Maddie," I whispered scared. The doll's eyes felt like they were looking right into my soul. Maddie put down the doll she was holding and looked at me. Her eyes were purple just like the doll's. I gasped and ran into my room. I locked the door tight. My mind raced. What was that?! I thought of going to my mom but she would just think I'm crazy. So would my dad. I had nothing to do but stay in my room. After an hour or two I decided to sleep. I had a weird dream that night. I was locked in a cage, and Maddie had the key. She didn't really look like Maddie, just her facial features. She had purple eyes and a really odd short blonde wig. The breath was knocked out of me. Maddie looked exactly like the doll. I screamed and in a second I was back in my bed sweating. My heart pounded. I knew what I had to do. I had to destroy the doll. I crept into the hallway and opened Maddie's door. She wasn't there. My heart beat even faster. I sneaked right to the doll. I picked her up, and I felt a hand fall on my mouth. I tried to scream, but I couldn't. I took my last hard breath, and let the life be sucked out of me.
