~•~Delirious's pov•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•

As Vanoss and I jumped off the edge the sound of a gun being fired rang in my ear. It felt like in slow motion as my icy blue eyes met those chocolate brown eyes. Mine was displayed in worry. His was usually anger....

But not now.

Pain was written all over his face. The ground was coming closer and closer. I didn't have time to worry about hurting myself. I wasn't the one hurt. I crashed into the water and Vanoss right after me. I ran over to Vanoss, not caring that I was soaking wet.

"Hey Evan are you okay? Stay with me okay." I had his head in my lap and I was searching around. I looked at my hand and saw blood all over. A bullet hit his stomach. Good thing it was more to the side.

"Delirious go." Vanoss struggled out. I shook my head and sat him up.

"No your coming with me." I argued. Vanoss coughed.

"Stop being stubborn and go!" He growled. For being wounded he still had enough energy to argue.

"Oh says you!" I grunted as I lifted him off the ground and put his arm around my shoulder. I tried to run but it was difficult and Vanoss winced everytime I made too fast of a movement. The blast left him exhausted ad weak the bullet wound is pretty bad in his case.

We were in the in the back of the lab. We needed to be in the front. It didn't help that it was starting to rain. It was good for me but also a lot harder to carry someone. I got a good hold of Vanoss before speed walking towards the front. I used my powers to block any bullets or attacks. I didn't have time to deal with them.

Every steps my legs burned. I was only fighting for him. If he wasn't here with me I would have given up already. I could feel my ankles wobble every step. I regained my balance and took another step. It was the only way to move fast. Take a step, regain balance. It was like an inch worm. Slow but I was making progress. We reached the front of the building and Vanoss pulled away but I held on.

"I can walk." Vanoss manage to say. I ignored him and kept going but he wiggled around so I stepped away, still holding onto him.

"I'm using every last ounce of power in me to set this place on fire." He sounded determined.

"Fine but you owe me. Your heavy, especially with you wings. Also hide your wings so that when we get out no one sees. I'll sit behind you for when you pass out." I sighed and sat down. He nodded and stood up straight. His shirt stained with blood.

He held out both hands and fire erupted from them. It didn't take long for the lab to catch fire. I wish I had marshmallows right now.

The while building was lit and I smiled. Evan was hot, not from the fire, the looks. His tan skin shined even brighter from the sweat and light from the fire. His eyes weren't brown right now, they were a bright red with an orange ring around it. They were full of anger but also with determination. His hair fell in front of his face from when he landed in the water. Overall just the perfect Canadian guy.

He stumbled over his feet but kept going. I knew he was also drained. I got on my knees, up straight the other laying on the ground and outstretched my arm. Vanoss wobbled back and forth and soon he was losing his balance. The fire stopped coming from his hands and he fell backwards. I grunted as Vanoss crashed into my chest. The way I was positioned made it so that I didn't fall with him. His eyes were closed and his mouth formed a frown. I bit my lip.

"Your ridiculously attractive and I hate it." I growled. I picked up Vanoss and and had him as a piggy back ride. With his arms swaying in front of my chest.

I jumped up, giving me a better grip. We never did this, our hands made it more powerful. I had to use my mind to summon. There was a barbed wire fence in front of me. About 13 ft. tall. I couldn't jump up but it would hurt Vanoss.

I closed my eyes and focused. Focused on the sound around me. The wind. The pouring rain. The crackling of the fire. A gust of wind made my wet hair fall in front of my eyes. The rain dripping off of it made it hard to see and it made my eyes burn.

I snapped open my eyes and glared at the gate. I turned a lot of the rain into ice and shot it at the gate. The icicles shook the gate and some of the fence broke off. It didn't help that I was exhausted.

*BANG*

I let put a scream and fell on my knees. I gritted my teeth and bit back tears. I turned around sharply and saw Edith with a gun. How is she not dead?! My leg now was spitting out blood.

I could see my eyes glowing more. I had enough of them. Why can't they let us go?

"JUST LET US GO!" I screamed. I huge blast busted within me. I didn't mean to. A huge wave washed over them, everywhere. I was panting and I fell back on my knees. Uncontrollable tears streamed down my cheeks. Why was I crying? I was so weak. Vanoss was dying by the second. I need to go on. For him.

I whined as I got back but and walked towards the gate. It was knocked down and pushed back a far ways. I blinked, trying to get the water out of my eyes.

I turned towards the burning building.

"We did it Vanoss."
