Something was burning inside Audwin. He didn't know what to call it but one thing's for certain, he needed Signy.

Not being able to see her for a few days because of the damned formalities seemed to take a toll on him. He never felt this strange sensation before. Considering he only had his mentor since childhood until he broke out of the tower, he didn't have a chance for human interaction let alone affection.

That was until the night Signy went to his room. Then, his world shifted. For the first time, he felt accepted.

He gave up trying to understand how Signy could ever choose him over his perfect brother. But that didn't mean he would let her escape his grasp now that he has her.

Slowly backing her up against the wall like a predator to its prey, he had an inexplicable urge to possess her. Breathing heavily, he nuzzled her neck and whispered, "I've missed you." Fully aware that these words were inadequate to express the magnitude of what he feels, he closed his eyes in pain.

Signy's eyes fluttered as she felt his warm breath against her neck, as if engraving her scent to his memory.

Lifting her hand, she lovingly stroked his hair. "Audwin--"

Hearing her utter his name with such tenderness, he nearly lost his mind. "I want to kiss you," he plead, pulling her tight against him.

Smiling, she cradled his face and stood on her tiptoes. With her eyes closed, she gave him a light kiss. Moving her lips against his, she tried to convey how much she adores him.

Feeling Signy's soft warmth, Audwin couldn't help but delve into her sweetness. He wanted to ravage her. Twining his tongue with hers, he heard her moan. She grabbed his collar for support, pulling him further into her. His hands travelled down her back. Without breaking apart, he lifted her to him. He needed her closer. Signy instinctively wrapped her legs around him.

Caressing his face, Signy was getting dizzy with his taste. His scent. His hardness. His warmth. All her senses were being surrounded by Audwin and she wouldn't mind drowning in him.

Briefly gasping for breath, Signy gazed at him, "I've missed you, too."

His chest aching at her words, he pounced on her again like she was the air he needed. When it came to her, everything was too much but also not enough at the same time. Ceasing his confusing thoughts, his kisses and his hands started to stray.

Signy was allowed a brief reprieve when Audwin's mouth trailed to her cheek down to her neck. She bit her lip when he sucked and licked that particular spot below her ear.

"You like that?" like a little boy exploring his new toy, his curious voice reached her addled brain. Not waiting for an answer, he delightfully continued on his business. His hand fondled her breast through her chemise while his other hand skimmed under her petticoat. He then tried to tug her gown down, but to no avail. Frowning, he cursed under his breath in annoyance. He snapped his fingers and Signy felt her corset and back knots loosen.

Her eyes widened, "Audwin!" She hastily clutched her falling bodice. Signy suddenly remembered that it's still morning and she had various appointments to attend to. She placed her hand on his shoulder and tried to get down.

"What?" the bastard clutched her waist and devoured her mouth again. His persistent hand tugging her now-loose gown.

She lightly pushed him and successfully extracted herself, "I need to go. I have to finalize the documents for succession transfer today." She caught his wandering hand beneath her skirt.

Audwin's shoulders drooped like a kid deprived of a treat. Then he perked up, "Ah, right. I have to leave for today, too. I'd probably be back tomorrow." He sulked while absentmindedly stroking arm, unable to keep his hand off of her.

"Why, where're you going?" she asked while trying her utmost to retie her gown.

Dang owl and his magic~

Seeing her struggle, Audwin snapped his fingers again and brought back the immaculate state of her hair and dress. "Just to sort out some stuff," he answered vaguely.

Only half-listening to him, Signy was busy admiring the convenience of Audwin's powers. "Ooh, I'm as good as new."

He chuckled and brushed her cheek, "Almost. Except for the flushed face and swollen lips."

Signy covered his laughing mouth and fanned herself.

Signy stretched out her arms as she watched the sun set through the balcony. Today was tiring but fruitful. She's able to finish all the necessary tasks before she officially leave the palace on her coming-of-age / wedding day in two days.

Ah. I miss that owl already. Where did he say he's going again?

She raked her brain for Audwin's whereabouts but only came up with him trying to tug her gown down.

Covering her face for such embarassing thoughts, she shook her head.

Maybe he's in the tower? Should I surprise him?

Smiling to herself, she made up her mind and decided to sneak out late at night instead.

I better pack a nightgown..
