*Sorry for all the talking*

(Exelequin)
Spirit and I walked down the hallway into Grians room. It was the only room that was soundproof, so it was perfect. I reached forward and grabbed her hand, but she pulled away quickly.
"Exel... don't," she said quietly. "You already know everything you needed to know" I stared at her for a minute then went and sat down on the bed. Motioning for her to sit next to me.
"Actually, I don't"
"Don't try that on me Exel, I know you saw everything."
"Then why are you mad?" She looked up at me and I reconized the sadness on her face.
"Because I don't get that. I don't get to see everything. And you.... knew all this and didn't tell me... it just hurts."
"I don't"
"What?"
"I don't know everything. I once thought that I did. I felt like everything I did was right because I thought I knew everything. But I don't. By touching someone, that doesn't make me the smartest person in the world just by seeing all their memories. In fact, it makes me an even worse person for doing so."
"But your not a bad person..."
"and thats exactly how I was made out to be. Because I had this power, because I thought I was invincible, and it all got shoved out of my face. You think I know everything from a person just by touching them? Well I don't. Thats the truth of it. And there is one particular part of your memories.... that I cannot see." We were silent for a few minutes, and although we were in pure silence, I know she was thinking a million thoughts a second. You could see it in her face, as she tried to piece everything together. She was only a child and yet, she had to deal with all of this.
Her face would light up with realization just to droop back down again when she realized it was wrong. I could tell when she hit a loophole in her calculations and strings when she would bite her lower lip ever so gently and rock a bit.
"Exel.."
"Yes?"
"What age was I... what age didn't you see?"
"I don't know from ages 5 to 8 im guessing."
"Thats 3 years." She bit her lip again and I stood up.
"Do you want to know the rest?" I asked, with a head nod as an answer. I stood up and she did the same. "Hold out your hand"
"Which one?"
"Whichever one" Turning toward me, she held out her right hand. "Good, now I want you to conjure a flame ball."
"Exel its not going to work"
"Oh just try, its not gonna hurt. Well, hopefully not. I'm just trying to test something" She sighed and held up her hand again, but instead of creating a flame ball, she created a purple orb of light that flickered and went out in an instant.
"You were right, it doesnt hurt to try." Again, she looked hurt. Not in any physical pain, more like mental pain. Noticing this, I walked up to her, but I really didn't know how to proceed. I had lived almost by myself for a few years. "Stuck in a basement 3 years and you forget how to hug huh?"
"Not the hugging part as it is the physical part." I laughed as she pulled me in for a hug.
"Your suppose to hug back. Jeez I didn't think you were this helpless." She giggled as she withdrew her grasp. "Thanks Exel."
"Hey, anytime you need me, im always here." I said as I smiled and left the room. "Ill go get Tango."

Short chapters will be coming out every great once in a while. I know this was a short chapter, I apologize, but finals are coming up and ive been doing a crapload of studying.
**EXEL AND SPIRIT ARE NOT SHIPPED!!! EXEL IS SPIRITS 2ND PARENTAL FIGURE! (Wait so that would mean that Spirit would have 2 adopted fathers, both who cause destruction and both who are not good with sharing feelings or social interaction.)
The only ships that sail here are Impulse/Tango + 3rd wheel Zedaph. Maybe more? Idk
Thank you to those who are still reading! If you are drop a comment so I know who has been keeping up with this story the entire time! {and for I know who actually reads the author notes}
