I met her at a Taco Bell drive thru. She laughed at my joke and took my order but I hadn't the faintest idea I'd meet her that blazing summer afternoon. I pulled up to the window and caught a sight of hopeful, brown eyes. Why had I gone in my pajamas? Then her soft, sweet voice said "Cash or card?" I fell in love. Cash or card? I'd pay sapphire diamonds and spanish gold to have this interaction once more. It slipped out. That's the only way to put it. "You're the most beautiful thing I've seen all summer." She took a second. Almost like she short circuited."Thanks." she smiled. Then she proceeded to hand me 2 burrito supremes, 4 steak quesadillas, 8 dorito loco tacos, 5 chalupas, 4 crunchwraps, and 8 quesaritos. She didn't say anything but she didn't need to. I knew she was thinking "Is this all for you?" I just smiled and said "I'm doing a food run." before driving off. I gained six pounds ordering taco bell in hopes of seeing her again throughout the coming weeks. I'd catch a glimpse of her ponytail and figure through that small window. Then suddenly I stopped seeing her. She must have quit. I often think about her.
