Chapter 3

You ask in surprise "What do you mean?"
"I'm going to take you on a tour of the school, of course, so you can get to know your new home" he answers with a smile.
He walks out of the room and you follow him. He stops at a door and says
"Don't be shy, Ari, you may take my hand, so you won't get lost"
Lost? Are you a 3 year-old child to get lost so easily? However, you don't want him to think that he can embarrass you, so you give him your hand. It feels warm and pleasant... what a stupid thought!
Then you go through the school corridors till you reach the massive door. He opens it and you enter a garden. There isn't anyone around and you feel a bit strange, but you have no reason to distrust Mr Darko.
After some minutes you, however, say "Where are we going?"
"Oh, we are not far from the main building. I just wanted to avoid a big crowd, so you can ask me anything you want"
He stops in front of a big tree.
"So, i'm all yours. Ask whatever you want"
You think for a second and then you say "You told me that we're going to have an excursion and now we're here. Why I even should ask anything about you, professor?"
Mr Darko laughs and then replies "Well, indeed I did say that, but still I would like to know you, Ari. And I would like you to know me. What do you want to know?"
You reply with an irritated smile "Are you flirting with all your students?"
Mr Darko has a wide grin on his face when he hears this question "You think I'm flirting? Well, let's see... how would you rate me?" He asks in a fake serious voice
You answer a little but annoyed "Are you kidding? Well, I'll rate your with 0/10"
Mr Darko laughs out loud again
"Well, I'm not sure what to say, I'm totally at your mercy"
He then grasps your hand and brings it to his lips. He seems like a cat, who's playing with a mouse. But you aren't a mouse.
You say "I'm not going to be one of those stupid girls who fall for your charm".
Mr Darko stops with the 'charm' stuff, pulling the hand away from his face, but not releasing, and says "So now you consider me charming?"
You nod. There is no sense in lying. He himself surely know how attractive he is with those sculptural face features, deep blue eyes and mannered behavior.
"Well, that's good to hear"
That moment he moves closer to you and asks "And have you already became «one of those stupid girls»?"
You sneer. "Oh, now? No, surely not"
Mr Darko smirks. "Hah, one day I'll get you to rate me a 10!"
He releases your hand and takes a step back, smiling all the time.
You sigh. "I'm just being realistic, professor. You're charming, but that has nothing to do with me"
Mr Darko laughs. "Ah, reality again. I like you, Ari. You will be a good addition to the school, with your cynical views and humor"
Actually, his words made you a little bit happy.
"And can i go now? I guess our excursion has finished"
Mr Darko nods. "Yes, you may go, but remember that you must come to my class when you have time, I would like to know you better"
You roll your eyes. "Professor, haven't I already said that your tricks won't work with me?"
Mr Darko shows a sly grin and says "I'm sure you have, but it's fun to try, good luck in your next class".
He turns around, walks towards the building and goes inside.
You feel really strange at that moment, you don't know why, maybe it's because he reached his hand to touch yours or the fact that he was way to close to you for a professor.
You think "I'm sure he's doing the same thing with all the students. There is nothing to be worried about"
You enter the building and check your schedule. You have next classes in the other building of the magic school so you decide to head there now.
So the rest of the day passes calmly. After all the lessons you, tired, enter your room and soon fell asleep.
