Artefacts of infernal consequences beam up in the night as the slaves collect glass that shattered from the screams of the deadly, the crimson liquid pooling underneath the grass, stained and blemished, they must live with the utmost fear that the devil is by them.

The black cloak hugged the stars and the softness of the atmosphere could ignite a spark in the sky, the steady rhythm of the plays the night partook in could make anyone tranquil. The children laid on the grains of gold as they looked up at the balls of fire, the light they shone was nothing more than a sign of the gates slowly closing, leaving sprinkles behind.

In the twilight atmosphere, the lacy waves were darker, the area being tinted with sepia as the grains grew more orange, laughs intermingled and the loud voices of the children could be heard from the underworld, ready to destroy the lungs that called for air.

"Eren.." She called for the boy while giggling, his attention moved as he closely watched the girl fiddle with her fingers and scrunch her nose.

"Yes.." He whispered, his hands were now holding the many seashells that scattered across the sand, inspecting the intricate designs and curves.

"What do you think came first the chicken or the egg?" She put a finger by her chin and looked like she was in deep thought, he squinted his eyes and giggled.

"The chicken of course, how would the egg come without the chicken." Baffled, she flicked his forehead and sighed. He rubbed the area she hurt and pouted.

"What was that for?!" The h/c haired girl didn't reply, instead, she sat up and put her legs into her chest and remained stuck in the deep parts of her mind, she would be indulged by such menial things but the teal eye boy was always awestruck by her determination for answers.

"Eren I don't know.." She whispered while digging her fingers into the sand, he rolled his eyes and this time he flicked her forehead, this lead to a frown deepening into her face.

"Don't think too much, you might lose more brain cells." He grinned but the girl wasn't going to just admit to his words and she started shouting at him, ready to pinch him but he was already stood up, his ft dragging him to the other side of the beach.

He ran across the beach with his companion right behind him. "Eren you're so annoying I hate you!" She screamed while chasing him but unbeknownst to him there was a small rock directly in front of him and he fell right into the golden grains, his head first.

"You deserve that!" She sneered but stopped taunting once she heard the boy wail in pain, the girl quickly helped him up to the ground and scanned the injuries across his body, there was nothing major except small bruises on his hands.

The young girl kneeled beside him and gingerly took his hand and smiled at the boy who was currently sniffling from the leftover tears. She delicatly placed a few kisses across the bruises on his hand.
