I am sure that many of you are very familiar with what an omegaverse is. Many writers have the same way of doing their omegaverse books while others might add their twist on to the story. I'll be brief on this part, but in the second half I am going to explain what hermaphrodite/intersex means.

•Alpha is at the top of society. They are known to lead and be overly protective of their family. Most of the heroes are alphas but they must be careful during their Rut cycle since they can get out of control. It's harder for female alphas to produce their own kids. Female alphas can get omegas and betas pregnant•Betas are your average people. It's usually easier for them to get by in life. Most heroes are betas and they don't have to worry about cycles. Beta males can get female betas and female omegas pregnant. But not female alphas. It's harder for them to impregnate male omegas.
•Omegas are commonly seen in the caregiver field. It is extremely rare for them to be in the hero field. Unfortunately, it's also harder for them to get higher paid jobs since they can easily be pushed over. Omegan males and females can give birth. They go into a Heat cycle. And Omegas get protective of their pups and are dangerous if they're harmed.
•Male omegas and female alphas are hermaphrodites.

I know that when stories have a intersex character, mainly in most omegaverse books from what I've read, it can be pretty confusing. Don't worry you aren't alone, I used to be a tad bit confused as well. Don't feel ashamed if something doesn't make sense to you. That's why people asks questions. So I thought I would try to help as best as possible to make it clearer! Hopefully I do an okay job at it, if there is some things that you have knowledge on, go ahead and add on😊I figured if I screenshot the definition, then it would make much sense rather than me typing word for word to explain. But as google says, a hermaphrodite is a person or animal that have both female and male organs or characteristics. This word is derived from the Greek and Latin origin, hermaphroditos. And the old English term, hermaphroditus. In the late Middle English, they those words into hermaphrodite.
These are the synonyms for hermaphrodite.
A great example that I know of are snails because YouTube decided to recommend it to me like...two years ago. Snails do not have a specific gender, it is one or the other that will be the male or female. But according to this article down here, the don't really need to mate with each other. They can fertilize themselves. I'm rusty on the snails, but this is what I remember😅
I cropped out the pictures of the snails mating. I don't think any of you guys wanna see that. Correct me if I'm wrong😂
So, me switching Shouto up a little bit does not mean he will ONLY have the female part (the vagina). He will still have male genitalia! The female sex organ will be for reproduction for if Shouto were to give birth (I mean I could've made it seem like he had C-sections of he were to get pregnant but I thought this would be more exciting to write).
Concluding my "lesson" for today, imma go back to my smut chapters and change some things around (not today. Maybe sometime during the weekend). Those chapters will be unpublished for a short while so I can fix em up. This'll be really fun!
