-Eliza's POV-
'Do you really think you can save your brother?' I heard. I gasped and open my eyes. Standing above me was the inquisitor, holding his lightsaber rather close to my neck. I quickly backed away and got up, standing a good distance away. I glanced around and noticed we weren't in the ghost, but back in the Emperial prison hallway. Ezra and Kanan were no where in sight. Where is everybody?
'You can hardly protect yourself,' the Inquisitor commented, walking slowly towards me. I went to pull out my staff, only to get two halves of it. My heart twisted a little, but I held both poles in each hand, meaning to use them as weapons still. The Inquisitor chuckled, 'Have you really forgotten already what I can do?'
"No, I haven't," I said. "But I'm not going to stop trying to protect him."
'Touching. But will it be enough?'
The Inquisitor charged at me, lightsaber raised. I jumped back, but I wasn't fast enough. He slashed across my chest, causing pain to explode all over. I screamed and collapsed to the floor, hugging myself as the pain flared like fire. The inquisitor stood over me, placing his lightsaber by my neck again.
'You really are weak,' he said. 'You can't even protect yourself. How can you ever protect those you love if you can't even fight back?'
He brought his lightsaber up and brought it down, aiming for my neck. I curled in a ball and closed my eyes, screaming, "NO!"
My eyes shot open and I sat up so fast in my bed that my wound flared in pain. I yelped and hugged myself, feeling the wound pulse. I took deep breaths, trying to calm my breathing. It had only been a nightmare; that was all. I sighed, and managed to get out of my bed. I needed to get up and about. My stomach growled in protest.
And also get some food as well.
I pressed the panel button and opened the door, leaning heavily against the frame. "Come on, Eliza," I mumbled, slowly making my way down the hall. "You can make it. You have the strength."
I made it to the kitchen door and managed to open it. I stumbled onto the bench and gasped for air, feeling the sweat run down the side of my face. It was taking all of the strength to move with this sort of injury. I really shouldn't be pushing myself, but I couldn't rely on Kanan and Hera when they themselves need to focus so much on this mission. I didn't want to be the one to blow it.
Once I had caught my breath and felt better, I struggled to my feet and made my way to one of the cabinets. I pulled out a bowl, and placed it on the counter. Grabbing some food from the nearby cooling container, I managed to make a small soup. I felt my knees grow weak and quickly sat down. No sooner did I sit down that I realized that my bowl of soup was on the counter, along with the spoon.
I sighed. If I got up again, I was afraid I was going to pass out. I glanced at my hands and I got an idea. "Maybe," I mumbled, raising my hand towards the bowl of soup. It shook a little and slowly lifted an inch off the counter. I curled my fingers and brought it slowly towards me. Half way across the room, I felt a sharp pain in my chest. I clutched my chest in pain, but kept my arm outstretched, trying to remain focus. The soup bobbed a little, but I managed to get it to the table.
"Okay," I panted. "Now for the spoon."
The spoon was much easier, since it wasn't as heavy or as large as the bowl. Once I got to spoon in my hand, I clutched it, gasping for breath. Why was it hurting so much? Why was it so hard to breath? After another minute or two of breathing, I finally managed to get some soup into my system. Just as I finished, the door to the main hallway opened and Hera walked in.
