Shirasagijo Lui elbowed his way past a throng of people and came face-to-face with Kurenai Shu. "What was that?" he demanded.

"What was what?" Shu replied coolly.

"Did you not see his Flare?" Lui seemed to be panicking, completely different from his usual assertive self.

"Why, what was wrong with his Flare?" Shu lost a bit of his calmness and started looking unnerved. Lui had never directly approached him like this. Ever.

Lui's hands balled into fists. "It was red, didn't you see? Isn't it normally purple?" Lui's heart hammered. Please don't let this happen again. Please make it just be a coincidence.

Shu's brow furrowed. "Yeah, it changed color. So?" Lui grew even more agitated, bouncing on his heels and muttering under his breath.

"Have you been noticing anything weird with Valhalla lately? Anything that seems like he's possessed?"

Shu glared at Lui. "And why, pray tell me, do you suddenly care about my student?"

"Because if I don't care, all of us could die in an instant."

Shu snorted. "Sure. As if you would care if we all died. Isn't that what your ultimate goal is, anywa-"

"SHUT UP AND ANSWER ME, KURENAI!" Lui was at his limit. Clenching his teeth, he took a breath and continued. "Just shut your trap and listen to me. If Lane Valhalla is possessed by Lucifer, it could rip his soul to shreds and tear him apart. Once his soul is gone, Valhalla will basically become a shell for Lucifer to live in. And then, guess what? You're going to have a demon creature living in the dead, soulless body of your former student trying to crush and kill everyone in his path."

Shu's eyes grew hard. "So, essentially, exactly what happened to me four years ago?"

Lui stared straight back. "No. Even worse. You had Aoi Valt to save your sorry butt and got away without doing anything exceptionally bad. But no one can save Lane because he has no human relation with anyone whatsoever."

Shu adamantly replied, "He has human relation with me-"

"NO, HE DOESN'T! WOULD YOU JUST LISTEN, FOR GOD'S SAKE?" Lui roughly pushed a stray fangirl out of the way and grabbed Shu by the collar. "Tomorrow, you're going to watch Lane Valhalla as close as you can. You're smart enough to tell if he's been possessed or not. If he hasn't, which I highly doubt, tell me and that's it. But if he has..." Lui let go of Shu and slumped slightly, staring at the ground.

"Then what?" Shu asked cautiously.

Lui looked back up at Shu, a hint of genuine fear in his eyes. "Then we're done for."

"Okay, we're done for." Lui plopped down, sitting criss-cross on the floor and looking up at everyone staring skeptically at him.

"So... Lane Valhalla is... possessed." Free De La Hoya said slowly.

"And... he's gonna murder us all." Komurasaki Wakiya said dryly.

"Yes," Lui replied.

Ten Bladers stared dumbfounded at him.

"He's completely lost it," Rantaro said, almost in awe.

"Totally mental," Ranjiro agreed.

Then the doors slammed open and Kurenai Shu ran in panting.

"Oh... I'm late," he said, looking at the agglomeration of Bladers who had turned their gaze towards him.
