Ahsoka's POV
No one knows why Cara has been avoiding Din lately. But people speculate.
There are all kinds of crazy rumors spreading around the school. The most believable of which are that Din ate her book, that Din kidnapped Wayfinder, or that they were playing basketball and Din cheated. (Bo-Katan is the only one who believes the basketball one.) It kind of makes me feel lucky to know the truth.
Cara told me last night. Then she made me promise not to tell anyone.
Third Person POV
Cara sat down for lunch. She hoped no one could tell how exhausted she was. Unfortunately, Fennec could.
"What's wrong?"
"Her sink backfired last night." Ahsoka stepped in.
Fennec looked skeptical. "Why do you look like you haven't slept?"
"I didn't." Cara said. It was true. "I was up all night fixing it."
Fennec dropped it.
Later
Cara was walking to the door to get out of the building. School was over. She had avoided Din all day.
She walked right into something. And that something was Din.
"Cara!" he exclaimed. His relieved expression turned into concern when he saw her face. "You okay?"
"I saw you and Omera at the park the other day." Cara growled.
Din's expression turned to horror and shame. "I-I didn't kiss her, Cara. She kissed me, I swear. I'm-"
Cara turned and stormed away.
"Sorry." Din finished.
