It was lunch and Donghyuck has been quiet ever since Chenle's question. Now both boys were sitting at the table, eating their lunch in silence. Until Chenle broke it.

"I'm sorry for butting into your personal business. I understand if you don't want to talk to me anymore," Chenle apologized with a frown as Donghyuck looked up from his tray, shaking his head.

The tanned male slapped the younger's arm, who winced in pain.
"Shut up you idiot! Don't say stuff like that," Donghyuck warned and Chenle nodded his head quickly.

"But still, I'm sorry. It shouldn't be any of my concern. I just don't want to lose you, like everyone else," Chenle responded honestly and Donghyuck felt his stomach turn.

"Hey, that's not going to happen," Donghyuck grabbed the younger's hand. "I was never really close with my parents."

"You don't have to feel pressured to tell me. It's okay, I completely understand,"Chenle assured, but Donghyuck continued.

Donghyuck was never upset with the younger and he wasn't going to stop being friends with him just because he asked a harmless question. The sudden question just threw him off for a moment and he needed a while to regain his thoughts.

He didn't mean for Chenle to feel that way. He would never want to lose Chenle as a best friend.
"When I was six years old, they had put me in an orphanage. And to be honest, I don't really remember the reason for it," Donghyuck chuckled while Chenle was listening intently with sad eyes.

"I was in there till I was about ten years old. One day, Mr. Moon came into the orphanage watching all the other kids play, while I was reading a book. I could talk a lot and I know I have that problem as I just keep rambling, but I always made time for me to read since it was something my parents used to do when I was a toddler. They used to love me, although. I don't know what changed," Donghyuck shrugged, not bothered by it.

If they didn't love Donghyuck anymore that was their loss. They're surly missing out on one hell of a confident bad bitch.

"I'm so sorry," Chenle said softly, but Donghyuck shook his head once again.
"No need for it, I'm okay now."

"Anyway, later on that day Mr. Moon had approached me and tried talking to me, but I was so focused in the book I didn't feel like paying attention to him," Donghyuck giggled before continuing. "Next thing I knew he was reading the book with me and I had a lot of fun. I was sad when he left, but to my surprise, the next day the man running the orphanage center had told me I was being adopted. I didn't know who it was or why I was being adopted. But all I did know is that a part was extremely happy about being apart of a family once again."

"I'm glad you and Mr. Moon are family," Chenle smile sweetly.
"Me too," Donghyuck said as he dug into his food.

School had ended and Chenle was at his locker, gathering his belongings before he started heading towards Mr. Moon's office. Donghyuck had left early to catch up with Mark and Chenle just chuckled at him.

'How dare he choose him over me. I'm hot as fudge-stickles' Chenle joked to himself.

Chenle knocked on his teachers door and it opened widely, revealing the man behind it.
"Ah, hello Chenle! Shall we get to work?" Mr. Moon asked with enthusiasm.
