On the walk to breakfast, I kept catching him staring at me. I smiled and finally asked him why he's being creepy.
"Maybe it's just the fact that you're being so nice to a complete stranger. Or that you're probably the most beautiful I've seen in the state of New York" He says lightly next to me.
I immediately feel myself redden up, exposing my rosy cheeks to the cold January winter. Harry laughs.
"You're not a complete stranger. Everyone knows who you are. And we met last night, that's why I brought you home. You were drunk off your ass and had no one to take you home. Your friend Liam kept calling all morning though."
"By the sounds of it, I was really, really drunk wasn't I?" He asks tiredly.
I chuckled. "A tab bit really drunk. You kept asking if I had a cat. Then you made me stay with you until you fell asleep on the couch."
Harry groaned as we entered the bagel shop. It was not as crowded as it usually was like at 7am because we had beaten the rush but that meant the bagels were less fresh.
"Was I really embarrassing?" Harry asks.
"Slightly. You did corner me in the bathroom at Scott's house." I noted.
"I did, didn't I?" Harry says, pushing a hand through his curls. He looked so pained and embarrassed that I couldn't help but laugh quietly to myself.
"Let me make it up to you." He says confidently as we sat down. I handed him a bagel and a cup of coffee and was surprised he didn't even ask what it was as he chowed it down.
"Someone's hungry." I say, giving him an apprehensive look.
He a boyish grin at me, showing all his pearly whites. "Eh, a bit. So will you let me make up my embarrassing behavior to you?" He says, eying me.
I cock an eyebrow, curious to his plans and not sure if I should accept. "Depends." I say vaguely.
He grins again. "Ok so me and the boys, One Direction, are having party tonight at Liam's new New York house and I was wondering if you'd come with me? It'll be fun, I promise, and I won't be drunk."
I looked at him blankly. Was he asking me out on a date? "As fun as that sounds, I think I might just stay in and study tonight. Thanks for the invite though, I'd love to party with One Direction." I said quickly. I can't be distracted with boys and parties. I had a med school to get into and SATs to study for.
"Please come. It's New Years, you don't need to study every night. I feel like a right ass about what happened last night and I want to thank you for taking care of me." Harry takes a sip of his coffee and eyes me with those puppy dog, green eyes. The same trick he tried on me last night. And it worked.
"Ok fine maybe you're right." I say reluctantly.
Harry smiled wide and stopped staring at me, taking another sip of his coffee. I had a feeling he knew he had some sort of affect over girls. Maybe that's why he's famous, I thought.
"Great. So it's a date? I'll pick you up tonight at 9. We'll grab something to eat before."
I stopped short. "I wasn't aware this was a date." It came out rather harsh but I meant it more in a surprised way. However it came out, it didn't seem to affect the cheeky bastard.
"Oh come on, it's not like I'm asking you to marry me. Relax." He winks at me before taking one final swig of the coffee.
