As we stood each of my husbands were asked what protection they would provide in terms of fighting power. Almost immediately Glorifrir said "We will be providing no army, we don't believe in that, however, we can make and maintain any weapon for your army."
My 5th husband, Caspian added, "The fairy folk don't fight either, it turns us to being Unseelie, and the Unseelie cannot be controlled by conventional means. We can, however, heal anyone who needs it, although there are still wounds beyond our capacity to heal. But in saying that, our healing is far superior to what you currently have."
"I see" said my Father Tighearnán and silence fell for a bit. I chose then to enter.
"Please excuse our tardiness Father. But I was wondering, do you really need me here? Can my husband's deal with you themselves?"
"I guess they can" he replied, as Cormac sat down.
I looked at each of my husbands in turn, and asked the same of them "Is that ok Raiden, Glorifrir, Ruaidri, Sylvan and Caspian?"
They nod in agreement for me to be excluded from the talks, after all this was something generally talked about by men, I wasn't really needed here.
I smile in relief; I could escape and go meet Aoife.
I exit quickly and headed straight to Cormac O'Brien's house, pausing to knock on his door. To my surprise Shelur, the orc wife, answered.
"Hi Shelur " I greet her cordially, "May I please speak to Aoife?"
"Most certainly, my lady princess" Shelur answered, "May I enquire what about?"
"You may not" I replied, discouraging any further questions.
Shelur excused herself and not long after, a heavily pregnant Aoife came out to see me, smiling, "DebraLee! I am so glad to see you - I have not seen anyone in ages. I feel like sometimes I am a prisoner in my own home between Cormac and Shelur's mothering."
"Would you like to come for a walk with me?" I offer thinking to take her to the shrine who changed my life. It had only been 4 days, but a lifetime of changes had occurred.
"Sure!" Aoife replied "I would love to." As she grabbed a bonnet and shawl from the hallway closet.
"Let's go then!" I say as we leave. Aoife left as quickly and quietly as possible. I got the impression that she didn't want Shelur to know that she was going out.
As we scurried away, I head towards the shrine, Aoife following beside me.
"Where are we going?" Aoife asked.
"I want to show you a place that changed my life" I explain.
"Oh!" Said Aoife chewing her lip in worry, and not really listening. "Hey Lee?"
"Yes Aoife?"
"You know I love Cormac and he loves me." she started.
I nod.
"I am worried, he seems to want sex with me all the time and I honestly can't do it." She continued, "I see the hurt I cause him with my declining him, but I don't know what to do. When I was 2 there was a Goddess..."
"Aine " I interrupted.
"Yes Aine" she agreed, "Wait! How did you know?"
"Aine is my chosen Goddess, and apparently, I am her priestess, not that I know much about her" I answered "I think my husbands' know more than me about her, or at least 4 of them do."
Just then we arrive at the shrines garden.
"Wow!" Aoife gasps in admiration to the charming sight.
We continue walking and enter the shrine building. Aoife was looking a bit fatigued so I sit her on one of the prayer pews.
"Who's this shrine belong to? It's beautiful and peaceful." Aoife asked, and then it sunk in that I had said husbands as in plural husband "Husbands? Did you say husbands?"
"Yes, I said husbands and this is my Goddess Aine's shrine " I say.
"Wow, husbands...I can't imagine that, I can't even satisfy my one husband, I wish he had more wives" she said carelessly. "How many do you have?"
"5" I answer following up with a question, "Are you serious about wanting Cormac to have extra wives?"
"5 husbands? I think that is about how many wives he would need to satisfy him." Mused Aoife.
In my mind I go "Thank you Goddess! Please keep this conversation going well!"
I feel an answering "ok" from her.
"How do you cope with 5 husbands? And please excuse my rudeness, but I am dying to know, what is that on your skin?" Aoife asked curiously.
"Well, my husbands are mainly fae. All are princes. I have been married 3 days now and I can say each are beautiful and special in their own way, and I love all of them. If I was told I could only have one of them, I would not be able to choose, I love them all." 4 of my marks moved in affection to me as my men were obviously bored in the meeting and had been eaves dropping on me, and hearing that I loved them couldn't help but respond.
Their affection put me in an awkward position. I moaned in response to the pleasure that they just had given me.
"Umm, sorry about that " I say trying to regain my composure.
"No worries, but what happened?"
"My husbands happened," I say.
"Huh?" Aoife looked at me clueless.
"You know fae have magical abilities?" I question.
Aoife nods.
"Well, the gift of my husbands to me were these magical tattoos representing each of them. They can move as they want to but I don't understand how it works, just that it does."
"Oh!" Exclaimed Aoife "One of my drow maids said her husband was with her all the time. She uses to do the thing you did now when it was her breaktime. I let her go as it was disturbing to see, not to mention her moans made Cormac horny for me. I don't want sex all the time...Seriously! He needs more than me!"
"Aoife," I ask seriously, "Would you swear to my Goddess Aine that you would accept 4 more wives to Cormac to live with you on occasion and have his children?"
"Yes, I would!" She said "and I wish Shelur was one as she's so beautiful and helpful."
"Then I will arrange it," I say.
"Wait!? What?!" She exclaimed.
"You have sworn before my Goddess that you will accept 4 more wives to alternate Cormac's affection, I will carry this out. As you officially are his first wife, you have control on who he sees. I think that you will always be first and last to Cormac, and he will honour your decisions. But I have a wedding to plan now...I will let you know when I can arrange the ceremony. Please excuse me for a minute, I need to talk to my husbands. It will look weird, so please go out and enjoy the shrines garden whilst I do this."
Aoife nodded and exited to the garden, where she strolled around sniffing and admiring the flowers grown there.
