I woke up with a note on my nightstand, under it was a new phone, I.D., passport, other legal documents regarding me, and a bank card. I looked at the note, 'You were asleep when I came back, which is fine, I had new documents and identification made for you. The phone only has a couple of numbers programed in it, Mitchell's, Charlotte's, and mine. It's yours to do as you please, the bank card is for you own account, there's a small sum in there if you need anymore just ask. ~ Reagan.' I sat the note down and picked up the phone. "It read like a boss talking to an employee." I said out loud to myself, I heard a chuckle, "I think he forgets that not everyone is an employee of his." Charlotte said as she stood in the doorway, I looked up and thought for a moment. "Don't I work for him? Since he paid off my mother." I asked her as I stood up. "I'm not sure sweetie, still can't believe a mother would give up her daughter for money." She said shaking her head, I walked into the bathroom. "She stopped seeing me as her daughter a long time ago." I said, changing into a business casual dress. "Still, it did hurt a bit, but I'm glad I'm free now, I guess." I continued coming back out in a navy blue, short sleeved dress. Charlotte walked over to me a tugged on the dress lightly. "I'm glad it fits, even a little room for you to get back to a healthy weight." She said motherly.

After a couple of hours, we cooked lunch together. "So this is normally a lunch I make for him." She said packing a little extra of some rice, vegetables, and sautéed chicken away. "You're more than the head of housekeeping." I said looking at her. "Caught on didn't you?" She said with a laugh. "I helped out with Reagan when his dad died, his mom and I go way back." She explained she handed me a bag with the extra food, my phone, and a wallet which I assumed had my I.D. and the bank card. "Bet you have all kinds of stories." I teased as I took the bag, she nodded and looked at me. "I want you to take this to him, he probably hasn't eaten yet." She said and I nodded as she handed me a piece of paper with an address on it. "His office I assume?" I asked, she nodded and shooed me out the door. "Go on now, hurry before it gets cold." She said with a smile. I turned and walked down the hall, as the doors closed on the elevator I looked at myself in the reflection. My bruises and lip healed so they weren't as noticeable, I wasn't as tired as had been as well. The doors opened to a busy lobby, I walked past the people checking in and out, hearing the different conversations was a bit enjoyable. I plugged the address into the phone, the weather was nice so I decided to walk and it wasn't that far away.  I looked at the city as I walked, I've always been dragged along so I never really had chance to look and explore.

After about five or so minutes of walking I came to the building, I sent him a message saying I was here with some lunch as I walked in. The lobby was quiet as I walked in, I looked for his office on the directory and walked into the elevator. When I got to his floor, I heard people working and gossiping, the idle typing and phones ringing. "Welcome to O'Brian and Associates, can I help you?" Asked the receptionist as I walked quietly to the desk. "Yes I'm here to see Mr. O'Brian, I have his lunch." I answered, as I looked around. The woman behind the desk eyed me up and down. "And you are?" She asked, "Iona Grace." I answered and stood there quietly, she picked up her phone and called someone. "Straight to the back and the a left." She said as I walked to the directions she gave me, when I got to the office I heard a man yelling. "You can't just deny this project!" He yelled as he was let out of the office. "I can, your proposal isn't beneficial for us, please leave."  Said Reagan calmly, his voice sounded cold and his demeanor was unmoving and calm. The angry man rushed past me, I looked up at Reagan his gaze locked on the man. He looked tired, stubble lightly coming through on his face, as I studied his face his storm gray eyes locked on mine. "Good to see you up." He said, his expression was hard to read now. He gestured for me to come in as he stepped to the side I walked in, he closed the door behind me and walked to his desk. "So what brings you to see me while I'm at work?" He asked sitting down, I sat down and brought the food that was made. "Charlotte thought you would need some lunch." I answered handing to him. He took it gently from me, our hands brushing past each other.  He smiled softly, "Thank you, Iona, im sure you have questions." He said looking at me as he opened up the container.  I nodded and got a little nervous, "What do you want with me?" I asked, as he began to eat. He sighed and looked at me, "I havent figured that out yet, if I'm honest." He started   and ate a little more of the food. "When I saw you, I felt something in me change. I wanted to help you, when we locked eyes I saw unused potential in you as well and wanted to help." He finished, I felt he was telling the truth. He seemed closed off, "Why did you pay my mother?" I asked, the question seemed to make him flinch a little. "She seemed like the person that just wants money, and I wanted you out of there." He answered, he ran his fingers through his hair. I looked at him, slightly upset but comforted, he seemed a bit nervous now but for a different reason. "I'm grateful." I said with a soft smile, my response seemed to surprise him a little. His phone began to ring,  "I'll let you get back to work."  I said as I stood up. He nodded as he answered the phone, I walked out shutting his door softly. The next couple of hours on my way back to the penthouse I did a bit of shopping mainly some things for personal touches to my room.
