Quackity had locked himself in the guest room. It was day five and he hardly made any appearances. The only times he came out were to grab a blanket and his phone. Sapnap sighed as he turned to Karl. He tried knocking again. This time there was an answer. 'Can you please just fucking leave' Quackity yelled. Karl shot Sapnap a worried glance. This time he tried knocking. 'Alex please just come out we're worried for you, you need to eat' a heavy sigh was heard from the other side of the door and some shuffling. Karl looked at the doorknob to see it turning slowly. The door cracked open and he saw Quackity. Bags were under his eyes and he looked emotionally drained. He dragged himself out of the room. Before he could go anywhere Karl quickly latched onto him, taking him into a big hug. He leaned into the hug silently, but you could tell he was crying because his body was shaking with every year that fell. Karl and Sapnap led him to the kitchen, Quackity still wrapped in a hug. Karl continued to hold on to him but grabbed a glass and filled it with water. He put it to Quackity's lips, Quackity tilting his head back to drink. He took the empty glass away from his lips as Sapnap picked him up bridal style. He brought him to the couch while Karl grabbed a blanket from the closet. He came back and threw it over the two. He sat on the other side of Quackity, making him sit in the middle.
They cuddled for a while, Quackity falling asleep later on. 'Do you think he'll be okay?' Sapnap murmured worriedly as he played with Alex's hair. He looked down at his sleeping boyfriend. He looked back up at Sapnap.
After a long three minutes he answered. 'A lot of people cope with grief differently, and this is his way of coping.' He whispered.
Eventually Sapnap had fallen asleep as well. Karl slid out of the house quietly. He walked over to the porch swing, sitting down on it with his knees to his chest. He looked up at the sky, noticing how dark and cloudy it was getting. The air smelled damp of soon to come rain. As if another Nature read his mind it started to sprinkle. And that light sprinkling turned to a heavy rain. He didn't care though. He got off the swing and sat on the steps, getting drenched in the water.
